Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 12 → 0.17/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great game, I haven't had any bugs that I've noticed, though with all these toads around maybe they're gone? The art is great, the cards are well thought out, the boss levels are fun and the enemies are just tricky enough. The play style for each unlockable character deck is unique enough to be fun but still familiar, with the degree to which each is unique increasing as you unlock them. The maps are small and I suppose could feel a little repetitive at times, but trying to control or at least move around in a confined area is practically part of the game. Combos on enemies and manipulating the board is very satisfying. 8/10 But can we have another? Bunnies of the Badlands? Iguanas of the Isle? Tigers of the Taiga? I'll be here shuffling until then.
Literally unplayable with controller. Which would be fine if the store page didn't list full controller support as a feature.

Stylish little turn-based tactics deckbuilder. Short but challenging, seems unpolished and clunky but worth its price. Lack of the ability to upgrade your cards is irritating as it is making your runs very random. Worth trying, imho, but please check reviews first!
Its competent. I would buy it again a the price i bought it (like 30% off). I do not like the setting - the gameplay is carrying it. Overall if You like turnbased strategy deckbuilders and roguelikes You will like this ones gameplay. Minuses - Tavern Ui is not realy that great. It could be clearer with the tile beeing attacked or not.

Then you look at the score of 'only' mostly positive and think to yourself 'where did it go wrong'? Well, a big one is that deckbuilding is extremely limited. After every battle you only get to BUY one card (with upgrades it's 3) and you will be seeing the same cards offered over and over again. This is because the card pool per hero is tiny and barely supports 2 different decks. This makes combat extremely repetitive, even when new enemy types are introduced dealing with them is mostly the same turn by turn, battle after battle. I don't see a need in ever repeating a run with the same hero as there are no alternative decks to explore. In addition every combat always boils down to: kill 8 enemies and protect objectives. Every boss battle feels exactly the same. All of it feeding into the repetitive cycle. The position aspect of combat reminds of Fights in Tight Places as you evade enemy attacks and protect objectives, but it's implemented in a very rudimentary form (e.g. you can't push enemies of the ledge) and it's fairly easy to dodge damage. The balance is heavily in player's favor with the second hero being absolutely busted to the point I turn 1 killed most bosses and killed every enemy on spawn. I will say, that the 3rd hero's style is quite unique and I will give the devs a point for that. A point I will deduct because the true boss has a passive that can just kill you if you are not ready for it despite having a dominating run (be ready to deal with unavoidable fire/poison). I can go on about the negatives, such as imperfect UI, long runs, not being able to upgrade cards, despite upgraded cards existing, etc. So why is this not a negative recommendation? In the end, I think the Toads of the Bayou had some good ideas and I did have some fun stomping enemies on my dedicated path to defeat the final boss. Yes, the game had no deckbuiling options but the deck that it had wasn't boring to pilot, at least not the first time. It feels the game had the right idea, but closed up development before it could be refined into some great. Currently, I can only recommend it to the curious and to those that don't care much about replayability after the the first few runs.
The positive
+ Nice music and visuals + Some good ideas.
The neutral
* Gold for upgrades is difficult to come by and later it's almost useless.
The negative
- Limited deckbuilding that only supports 1 or 2 deck types per hero. - Gets repetitive very quickly
Conclusion:
Some potential, but ultimately a flawed game with very limited deckbuilding options, no replayability and a lot of repetitiveness. Can still be fun to play through it once, but not a game for everyone. Mixed recommendation. Abandoned years ago. Do not waste your money. Many bugs and unbalanced beyond belief.
picked it up on sale and for that it was Toadally awesome!
Fun little game with good soundtrack and great card art. Just the type of thing to play on a long train ride. The game does break pretty quickly if you cheese the re-roll and deck pruning mechanics. I'd love to see the devs limit the re-rolls to once per between missions and also to establish a minimum deck size. Now it's way too easy to remove the RNG element entirely and just deal certified infinite damage.
Challenging, fun, cute, engaging. Highly suggest, and i'm excited to play it a bunch more!
