This game is very aesthetically pleasing. The environment feels good. However, as this is considered a "speed running" game, I really do wish the controls were tighter. Perhaps the game was meant to be played with a controller, but It never feels like I have precise movement control over my character with a keyboard, at least. This game does seem like it could be something more, so I wish it the best.
I think it's high time I write a review for this game. After ten hours of grinding and figuring this game out I can say something good. Alright, I'ma start by saying that this game isn't perfect, in fact, it is flawed in many ways and many places. (Still mad at taking damage at weird times) But here's the thing, the game is fun, and it is a speed game. Let's get into it. The movement - The movement is floaty, it's like ice skates, and like others have said is not tight. However, what you need to figure out is how to use momentum. The way this game works as a speed game is through the use of momentum in movement and not just running along the ground. After getting used to how the characters momentum works, the controls can actually become pretty tight. Trust me, hours were spent figuring out the best way to move and I for one am a fan of the movement in this game. Will it appeal to everyone, no. That's obvious from the few videos I've seen and the reviews. But give it a go, and work with the movement. The Combat - I'll come right out and say it, the combat isn't good. The main combo is clunky and slow. In every situation you're better off not fighting and streaming past the robots (Except for the Midway fight). The only way to speed it up is by working around the combat system with animation cancels and other tricks that the casual runner doesn't know. The first time you play this game you flounder around trying to force your way through enemies (Been there) and try to hold on to your limited life bar. Design - The game looks great. The enviroment is original and beautiful and I would like to see more like it. The sound fx for punching and other movements could use work, but in my case I barely take notice. The music is another nice part, sounding right at home in an egyptian desert style place. Although the game is in some trash dimension, it fits the sandy looks of everything. Verdict - I gotta say, I quite enjoy this game. It's a great game to keep lowering my time in, and I would highly recommend taking a shot at it. Sure the movement may not float your boat, but hey, it's a free game. Only thing you'll use is a bit of time. I think the student devs deserve that much from you.

A good free game, interesting and with good controls, if you have some patience you can pass it without problems.

To the Core is a game that reeks of potential, but unfortunately falls apart really badly after just a short time playing it. It's a game that doesn't seem to be sure what kind of game it is. It's a platformer with randomly generated rooms, but the controls are really stiff and don't feel good. The levels are incredibly long and I was constantly wondering wheter I made it to a save point or not. It's got some fighting elements and boss battles, but the game doesn't seem to be equipped to deal with them properly. The camera control was terrible and made it hard to navigate. I understand this has been changed, but even with a working camera the fighting system is way too basic to be bothered with anything more than simple enemies. The art style is pretty interesting, but seems to be put together from different artistic visions. It looks like a cross between Serious Sam, Borderlands with some Team Fortress 2 / Overwatch mixed in. Same goes for the music. It's interesting, but it all doesn't seem to fit together. The voice acting is absolutely, cringeworthingly bad. I hated the guy doing the voice acting so much it completely killed what little interest the basic story managed to garner! The story seems to be tacked onto the game and I didn't really care about anything that my "father" had to say. It distracts immensely from what little content there actually is to enjoy. In my opinion the creators just tried to fit too much into the game. All the different parts feel as if they could be better if they would have received more focus, but as it was when I played it I just couldn't be bothered to put time into it.
This game is amazing and I want to thank all those who made as it is a fresh take on a 3d platform with so many secrets to explore and amazing landscapes. There are some things i would change however, I personally feel that it should be more clear when the laser traps are on and off, and my game has crashed a few times while playing which is a big dapper when trying to beat the fastest times. Overall I would strongly recomend this game!
Мужики, спасайте, если наберём 10 лайков и 5 наград, то жена подарит ящик пива
Although I can definitely see this game being fun, the combat is satisfying, overpowering your enemy feels great and although I don't know what the blue shards are that pop out of things, they feel fun to collect Sadly, the bigger issue had stopped me from playing more than what I have, and that is the movement. The movement is incredibly slidy and sometimes even feels unresponsive, which made the first centurion quite frustrating, because you're not even told how to take it down (The battery on its back) This sort of movement shouldn't be in a platformer with combat that involves dodging, as it makes for an experience that feels unfair to the point of enfuriating. It doesn't help that the tutorial doesn't have checkpoints either, meaning that you have to restart once you die, no matter where you are, and in a game with limited health and so far scarce health pickups and enemies that can hit and kill you during an attack, this all lead to a very unpleasant first experience.
Yś yś yś kup mi kebsa
