I'm Not Very Creative, But This Is Still Fun.
Super jeu!
A bullet list with all of my pros and cons are below this :) It's an extremely relaxing game that's helped me settle down for an hour here and there after a stressful day of work or when my anxiety is particularly high. I love the sheep (especially with the birds on their heads), it's fun to build different kinds of settlements, villages, towns, and castles, and overall it's a good game! I'm sure I could build some more truly extravagant settlements with a couple more hours of gameplay, with controls that are fairly easy to learn. There are a couple of downsides for me, such as that it does feel a little isolating without anyone actually living in the places we can create. Some people might actually prefer this, but for me I just feel lonely. There also isn't as much variation in building styles and decorations as I initially thought, so my builds kind of start feeling like the same thing, and I'll usually stop playing because I'm bored. Wooden homes would be really nice, for example. But if you enjoy cozy games, or want something to do to fill the time that doesn't feel like a chore, then I think this is a good game for that! Also new-gamer friendly, as I feel that the controls were overall easy to learn and get used to! TLDR; Pros: - Very very relaxing, good for my anxiety - Sheep - Sheep with birds - Beautiful graphics - Wonderful soundtrack - An okay variety in what kinds of places you can build - Easy to learn and jump into with minimal help - Camera function is great for getting atmospheric screenshots of your builds - Day/Night cycle is fully controllable, can be locked, and the position of the sun and moon can be changed Cons: - A little isolating with no human NPCs - Less building styles and decorations than initially thought - The flag/banner snapping sometimes attaches to places I don't want it to go, although it's not a game-breaking issue - Sometimes things like stairs, doors, or archways don't always align where you want them to go - No indoor decorating
The base game is nice but feels very limiting. To be fair i am a 3d modeler, and so the controls are counter intuitive. The game dose need better selection options, as well as the ability to really fine tune the look with pop up replacement options. I hear there may be mod support coming so that may be good. Stand alone mods are better then a third party add on. (Nexus ext..) Requested items: an option to lock the view on a selected item as it is modified. This could easily be done using a key stroke or button press, just hold the key to lock and release to move around. A interior view, and items to decorate is an obvious next step. Different water levels for waterfalls ext... The towers should not need legs to be stacked on top of each other. The need for themes like Halloween, Christmas is required, as is stalagmites, stalactites, ice walls, forest fires... the list goes on
Nice view always!!
So calm and cozy
Cozy games:)
I like the simple mechanics of the game and the hidden ways you can customize with limited options. You can get really creative and use tools in different ways to create awesome builds.
