Timberman: The Big Adventure, developed by Digital Melody and Storm Trident S.A. and published by Forever Entertainment S.A., takes the simple charm of the original Timberman mobile game and transforms it into a vibrant 2D platforming adventure. What began as a lighthearted tap-based arcade experience about chopping trees has evolved into a full side-scrolling journey filled with humor, color, and nostalgic energy. This installment expands the Timberman universe into something more narrative-driven, offering a classic-style quest to save the forest from an industrial threat while preserving the series’ cheerful personality. It’s a game that feels as though it leapt straight out of the 1990s—retro in presentation but refined enough to appeal to modern sensibilities. The story is charmingly straightforward. EvilCorp, a greedy company determined to exploit the forest, has disrupted the peaceful woodland balance, and it’s up to the titular lumberjack hero and his loyal bear companion to restore nature’s harmony. The player sets off on a quest through three themed worlds, each filled with enemies, platforming challenges, and hidden secrets. The writing keeps things light and humorous, never taking itself too seriously but still giving enough structure to motivate progress. The inclusion of the bear sidekick adds warmth and character, turning what could have been a generic platformer into a buddy-style adventure that evokes classic duos like Banjo and Kazooie or Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. Visually, Timberman: The Big Adventure is bursting with personality. The pixel art is sharp and colorful, designed to emulate 16-bit console classics but with modern smoothness in animation and effects. Environments are lush and varied, from dense forests to mechanical industrial zones, and the transitions between levels feel seamless. The sprites are expressive and full of life, and even the smallest background details contribute to the playful atmosphere. The soundtrack complements the visuals perfectly with upbeat tunes and catchy rhythms that harken back to the golden era of side-scrolling platformers. Each stage radiates energy and enthusiasm, making it a pleasure to explore even when the level design leans toward simplicity. In terms of gameplay, the controls are tight and intuitive, allowing for a smooth and satisfying platforming experience. Timberman can jump, chop, and throw his axe in various directions, turning the signature tool of his original game into a weapon and puzzle-solving device. The axe’s boomerang-like mechanic allows for creative combat and mobility options, encouraging players to experiment with timing and positioning. There are also small environmental puzzles that require chopping down obstacles or building bridges to advance, giving variety to what might otherwise be a linear structure. Co-op play adds another layer of fun, letting two players work together on the same screen—something increasingly rare in modern platformers. Sharing the journey with a friend makes the experience even more enjoyable, especially given the game’s emphasis on lighthearted action rather than intense difficulty. The game also rewards exploration, encouraging players to stray from the main path to uncover collectibles and secrets. Each level hides collectible letters that spell “TIMBER,” and finding them all unlocks small rewards and achievements. Some areas conceal retro arcade machines where players can access the original Timberman game, a clever nod to the series’ roots that doubles as a nostalgic Easter egg. Boss battles punctuate each world, providing fun but manageable challenges that test basic mechanics rather than reflex perfection. The encounters are straightforward yet satisfying, giving the sense of progression without overwhelming the player. While Timberman: The Big Adventure succeeds in charm and accessibility, it doesn’t escape criticism. Its biggest weakness lies in its brevity; the adventure can be completed in just a few hours, leaving some players wishing for additional worlds or tougher challenges. The difficulty curve is gentle, catering more to casual and younger audiences than seasoned platforming veterans. Once the basic patterns of movement and combat are mastered, the game rarely surprises with new mechanics or significant obstacles. Still, this accessibility is also a strength—its friendly learning curve makes it an ideal pick for players seeking a stress-free, relaxing experience or a cooperative game to enjoy with family or friends. From a technical standpoint, the game runs smoothly, maintaining stable performance even during more chaotic sequences. The art and music are polished, the interface is clean, and the overall presentation feels cohesive. There are minor balance issues, such as the axe’s effectiveness trivializing some encounters, but these hardly detract from the experience as a whole. At a modest price point, Timberman: The Big Adventure offers more content and polish than one might expect, proving that a well-crafted small game can deliver genuine entertainment value without overstaying its welcome. Ultimately, Timberman: The Big Adventure is a delightful homage to classic 2D platformers wrapped in a coat of modern polish. It embraces its simplicity with confidence, delivering an experience that is as endearing as it is fun. It won’t challenge the reflexes of hardcore players, but it doesn’t need to; its purpose is to evoke nostalgia and spread joy through cheerful visuals, fluid gameplay, and accessible design. Whether played solo or with a friend, it offers a lighthearted journey full of heart and craftsmanship. For fans of the original Timberman, it’s a triumphant evolution of the franchise, and for newcomers, it’s a reminder of why colorful, straightforward platformers remain timeless. Rating: 7/10

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

no fajna krótka platformówka o timbermanie który musi uratować dziewczynę misia z rąk złej korporacji xd
This game seems to be inspired by Rolo to the Rescue on the Sega Megadrive/Genesis. It has similar mechanics including saving animals from cages, but it has the added benefit of not having the horrid slippy mechanics that game had. It's very cute if you're looking for something similar, and is presented as a very all ages experience. You could definitely hand this off to your young kids to play as its not too difficult either.
