This started out seeming like it might be good, but the "powers" you gain are so trivial and automatic (e.g. you can only use power one on some objects, and power two on other objects, so there's no decision, you just do the thing that you are allowed to do) that most of the game is walking simulator. I finished what I think is described as "the first tier", up to getting the third hand-power, and at this point I'm pretty tired of the game - "the beach", especially, was so much walking and spotting small items, and so little sense, that it was no fun at all. One small puzzle of arranging sticks to have a certain cross-section, and half an hour of walking up and down looking for things. There was also a frustrating "puzzle" of having to turn a series of valves quickly, made difficult by the UI being misleading (only one of the valves can be interacted with, and when you do it spins for a while then goes "honk" and nothing else happens) - turns out you have to interact with the second previously-inert valve while the first valve is still spinning, but there's no clue that that's even an option. That could have been fixed by having all the valves interactable but the "locked" ones only moving a tiny amount and going "clunk" unless they're unlocked by their predecessor. Having them act like totally inanimate objects unless the other one is spinning makes it seem like they're just scenery, given that there *is* a lot of non-interactive scenery that behaves the same way, and giving a 5 second window in which to examine inert scenery in case it became non-inert when you did something else is just ... not good. Bonus complaint, trying to run it on Linux the game couldn't even find its own binary, so I had to manually set it to use Proton to override that. If you like the walking simulator genre then this is probably a fine one. I was hoping for a lot more puzzles and a lot less walking.
"Soul Axiom Rebooted" is for those players who are into mind-bending puzzles, sci-fi stories and stunning digital worlds. The cybernetic dreamscape of this game is a visual treat, filled with neon lights and surreal details. The atmosphere and the world itself makes you want to explore every corner. This title takes the first person puzzle solving to a whole new level with special powers like materializing objects, disintegrating obstacles and even rewinding time. The puzzles are challenging but fair, always keeping you engaged. The plot is intriguing, unraveling through cryptic messages and cutscenes, showing off the truth behind the main character's past. It talks about themes such as technology, consciousness and the afterlife. This Rebooted version improves the visuals, controls and the overall polish, making it the best way to experience the game. If you enjoyed games like "Portal" or "Firewatch", then "Soul Axiom Rebooted" is a must. Highly recommended :)
Soul Axiom Rebooted delivers a solid mix of first-person puzzle-solving and sci-fi storytelling. The puzzles are varied enough to stay engaging, often requiring clever use of the game's unique abilities. While the narrative can be a bit abstract at times, the world-building does a good job of keeping you curious. A worthwhile pick for fans of story-driven puzzle adventures.
There is no controller tracking! All control is as if playing from a gamepad, looks too not good. It would be quite playable if they would add controller tracking.
Hey, everybody! I love logic games. This game did not pass me by. To my surprise, I did not fail. The game is worthy of your attention! 1) The puzzles are logical, but not difficult. 2) The visual style is interesting. 3) The plot is interesting enough. 4) Easy controls and narration. Some cons: 1) Bugs when exploring non-standard paths 2) Some inaccuracies in the pointer on quests.
The VR in this game (Atleast with my Mixed Reality Headset) is severely broken to the point where It's basically unplayable. Freezes way too easily and menus are definitely not VR friendly.
The Ui, is broken in vr (can't see all of the info) and the motion sickness is crazy, like don't rotate the camera while playing, it's the first thing I learned by doing dev in VR. It's not a VR game, it's a classic game with vr poorly implemented.
3/10 lots of empty space and lack of detail
游戏冷门到连攻略视频都没有
This game has less ties to the label of "puzzle" than a match 3 game. It's all running around and interacting with objects while trying to wrangle the game into putting you into the interactable state. Overall it's just buggy and bland.
