Humans are long gone. In a world struck by droughts and toxic waste, will your lumberpunk beavers do any better? A sandbox city-building game featuring ingenious animals, vertical architecture, water physics, and terraforming. Contains high amounts of wood.

Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.

About
Mankind turned Earth into a dry wasteland and perished, but some species adapted and evolved. Pick one of the beaver factions and see how long your colony can last.
Control one of two beaver factions: the nature-friendly Folktails or the industrious Iron Teeth. Each faction has unique buildings, technology, and gameplay traits. Choose what fits your playstyle!
Prepare your settlement for recurring droughts and waves of toxic waste. Stockpile food and keep fields and forests alive even after rivers dry up. Rely on both natural water sources and artificial irrigation to keep the land arable and your beavers safe.
Beavers’ engineering skills are legendary. With Timberborn’s 3D water physics and terraforming, so can be yours. Put up dams and floodgates, erect massive aqueducts, dig canals and tunnels with explosives, and reshape the terrain to your liking.
Harness the game’s unique vertical architecture system. Space is limited, so stack lodges and workshops on top of each other. Construct platforms and bridges, set up an elaborate power grid, and let your beavers speed around on ziplines or through tubeways.
Turn timber into sophisticated machinery – from water wheels and lumber mills to engines and mechanized pumps. Wood is the core resource in Timberborn, but the most advanced structures require metal. To find it, send your scavengers to the ruins of the old world.
Automate tasks across your settlement by creating an intricate system of sensors, relays, counters, and other tools for advanced engineers. Self-controlling dams and factories are just the beginning.
Supercharge your colony with mechanized beavers. Power them up, maintain them, and you'll get extra-efficient workers for almost any job. They operate 24/7, and you can send them to the most hazardous areas.
Build a sprawling city with efficient production chains and follow the lives of its inhabitants day and night. As the population grows, satisfy your evolved rodents with a balanced diet, entertainment, decorations, and end-game monuments that help restore the Earth.
Play on one of the included maps or create your own and share it with the community. On top of the built-in map editor, Timberborn features official mod support. Tons of extra player-made content and quality-of-life additions are available, with more coming each day.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

good fun game but i hate bad tides so much
I will start with saying that i might be totally wrong on this one. But Timberborn, despites its fluffy appearance has an odd and gamebreakimg flaw. A rather unique one at that. Iv tried it a few times now. And no matter how much i try i cant for the life of me reach the cool science at the end of the tech tree. Not because the game is to hard. It aint. Its the opposite. If your looking for a challenge this game is NOT for you. Want to sit and watch the game play itself on fast forward for hundreds of cycles. Yeah. This might be for you. Its just incredibly boring. The challenge phase is maybe 30min. On hard difficulty. Im not even going to talk about easy or medium. There is a few simple steps you must do. First off. Dont grow to fast in population. Starve/Thirst kills you. 2nd. Build a dam. The first draught will kill your crops unless you have standing water. Then obviously build crops. Carrots only. Stack them high in warehouses. You got 20 beavers? Have 800 carrots in warehouse. Then there is only one thing left to do. Spam watertanks. Only do minimal science. Dont rush fancy tech. No point. Low tech will do the job fine. Only tech the things you need to build more dams, get more green, more food/water. By cycle 10-15 you have managed the game. Congratz. That might take you 3 hours. But its really first 30min thats crucial. Beat that first draught/bad tide and after that as lomg as you dont forget pop/food/water balance then your good. There just simply not enough of a game here. When you automate damsluices a cycle or two in, then you can simöly set speed to fast forward and go do something else while science ticks in or the trees grow so you can harvest and build more pointless benches/hedges for a happiness value to tick from 31 to 32. Its just not a fun game in the end. Not for me, thats for sure. Maybe for you.
A good-enough city builder, built around a truly phenomenal gimmick of infinite complexity. The dam-building mechanics are incredible, forcing you to actually think and think hard. Setting up enormous reservoirs of water to handle droughts, while retaining the capacity to redirect sudden badtides off the map, is a genuine challenge. You start with solutions that involve manually scrambling to open and close floodgates in response to weather changes, then as your tech improves you begin automating your sluices and floodgates in response to the water level in your reservoirs or the weather, and by the end you've fully automated every building in your entire base (yes, the automation system is turing-complete with every logic gate and every conceivable input variable, from "current weather" to "water level on this tile" to "current unemployed population" etc) If there's a downside, it's that, while maps have many possible "solutions", you don't get as much out of replaying a map for a second time once you've already beaten it. Luckily the game arrives with a few dozen maps of varying difficulty, plus the hundreds and hundreds of maps in the workshop (made with the excellent in-game map editor). Definitely pick this one up, if you're into the genre. The city-building aspect is interesting on its own (full verticality is definitely unusual), but it's the water management mechanics that make this what it is.
Best city builder since frostpunk. Having water engineering as a central mechanic is really fun, and overall the game is unexpectedly polished.
SO GUD
God-tier game
i really enjoy my time playing this game. many ways to build your own world, following your own tempo and enjoy beavers. you do have to challenge yourself a bit, as it becomes quite easy after achieving 70+ beavers. other that would recommend
