Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.57/day in the week to Aug 15 → 9.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If your Castle Center is razed, you lose.

It feels like a strategy game that has had the strategy part removed and replaced with something else I don't know what that something else is, but it doesn't feel nice

It's not very fun or very much variety of game play. its basically just do the same thing on every map. Build up economy. Fight solo for the first 3-5 rounds. then upgrade castle and add infantry or towers. Personally I hate the infantry their controls make no sense. (yes i'm bad at games, I know) and rinse and repeat for every section of the map. I had hopes that it would be as replayable as balloon tower defense. But its not for me.
Game might be fine, but i really dislike the part where you can't really decide where to build the buildings as everything are predetermined. Selecting the units and having to shift them to different lanes between waves feels painful and like a chores as well
Thronefall really stands out with it's appealing, cutesy art direction and minimalist gameplay, almost to a fault. The Tower Defense / Hero Commander blend feels a little oversimplified and at times borderline binary but the games offers a pretty satisfactory challenge along with near infinite replay-ability through great map design combined with a plethora of gameplay modifiers.
Thronefall is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as if it was a real PC game (it's not)... it's a cash grab from greedy mobile devs. This mobile app is, admittedly, not the worst game I've ever seen and not the shoddiest mobile port I've seen, either. The game itself has a compelling enough concept, basically a 3D rendered top down ripoff of Kingdom/Kingdom New Lands etc... you build your defenses and make money during the day and fend off waves of enemies at night with tower defense style gameplay. Right down to collecting the coins, it's pretty obvious the developer set out to make some money off the Kingdom franchise by ripping off their ideas almost wholesale. Well, what should we expect from mobile developers? Still, the game works, it's just let down by the really crappy graphics, which are of course a limitation forced on the game because it's a mobile app made for iPhones. From a technical perspective, as a mobile app, this doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The mobile app features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the mobile app (although the requirement for this to run on low end mobile phones is a factor), and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. Because this is a mobile app, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the iPhones that the game was designed for. These are unfortunate handicaps and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was an afterthought for the iPhone developers who are to blame for this. The game is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for mobile phones forces upon a game. Once more, mobile devs have made gaming worse for everyone. I didn't spend thousands on building a gaming rig just so I could pretend it's an iPhone. These technical defects push this mobile app below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Let's talk about pricing and the actual value this has for gamers. Is this mobile app one of the best of the 140,000+ games on Steam? Thronefall has the ridiculous, laughable price of $13 USD, for which you could easily get any number of older AAA games. For comparison, the $13 asking price for this mobile app could get you games like "Remnant: From The Ashes", "Divinity: Original Sin 2" or "Horizon: Zero Dawn". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this. The quality problems and defects with this mobile app makes the asking price totally unrealistic. It's impossible to recommend this to gamers here on Steam. Thirteen bucks for a mobile app. Oh yeah, and it's half the price on the mobile app stores, so if you really really want to play this mobile app, buy it from the app stores where it's cheaper.
It's like Kingdom Classic/New Lands/Two Crowns if they were 3d and had no story elements. I'm enjoying it quite a bit.
The mobile game add copied this game, very fun game and hard once you progress.
The creator has an arachnophobia setting. Similarly, if a religious setting was added that changed the theme away from satanic elements, I would give it a thumbs up and love to continue playing. The satanic elements include pentagrams, summoning, sacrificing, spells, and false gods. (updated as of 9/10/2026) See below to read everything I love about this game. Best tower defense game I have ever played, great replay-ability. Game starts out easy, don't let that fool you. Each map is harder, you can add challenges, and you can stack challenges. Includes specking different stats pre-game and in-game (pre-game stat focus is essential for strategizing for challenges). There are both levels and and a forever mode. If this game ever added multiplayer with multiple bases to protect, it would become an amazing coop tower defense, and a unique rts.
