About
This War of Mine: Final Cut contains all the updates and free expansions released so far and introduces not only a new scenario but also expands all scenarios with the locations known from Stories DLCs - even if you don’t own those. In short words - that means you can now experience lots of never-seen-before playthroughs and struggle with new challenges.
Remastered versions of all the classic locations
One new classic scenario and a brand-new character
New quests and locations added to the original game
Vanilla version of the game
In This War Of Mine you do not play as an elite soldier, rather a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city; struggling with lack of food, medicine and constant danger from snipers and hostile scavengers. The game provides an experience of war seen from an entirely new angle.
The pace of This War of Mine is imposed by the day and night cycle. During the day snipers outside stop you from leaving your refuge, so you need to focus on maintaining your hideout: crafting, trading and taking care of your survivors. At night, take one of your civilians on a mission to scavenge through a set of unique locations for items that will help you stay alive.
Make life-and-death decisions driven by your conscience. Try to protect everybody from your shelter or sacrifice some of them for longer-term survival. During war, there are no good or bad decisions; there is only survival. The sooner you realize that, the better.

Inspired by real-life events
Control your survivors and manage your shelter
Craft weapons, alcohol, beds or stoves – anything that helps you survive
Make decisions - an often unforgiving and emotionally difficult experience
Randomized world and characters every time you start a new game
Charcoal-stylized aesthetics to complement the game's theme
The Little Ones - explores the hardships of wartime survival as seen from an entirely new perspective - that of a child.
This War of Mine: Stories DLCs:
Episode 1: The Father's Promise – a heartbreaking tale of loss and hope in a war-torn city
Episode 2: The Last Broadcast – where, as a radio operator, you are going to face moral dilemmas and decide, whether there is a price too high for the truth
Episode 3: Fading Embers – portrays a story of Anja living in a warzone and carrying a heavy burden as she has to answer to herself what is more important - survival of human legacy or the survival of a man

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

To me, the most striking part of this game, is how emotionally evocative it is. This game is HARD. Every choice has a risk, and every risk has a potential consequence. If you try to go in guns blazing, you WILL get gunned down. You could get every enemy but the last one, but if he happens to fire before you, you could still die. And when any character dies, the game saves over right away (you literally only have a couple of seconds to Alt+F4). You can only carry so much, so if you build the wrong thing first, choose the wrong thing to prioritize, that could very well be the end. Morale is a huge part of this game (it directly affects many aspects of survival), and doing good deeds may get you good morale, but you lose precious items and resources. On the other hand, stealing from or killing innocent people may be an easy way to get items, but you'll feel the morale hit. Every choice, every moment, feels so tense. As you're peeking through the door, or waiting in a hiding spot for the enemy to walk by, you don't know if another enemy is coming up behind you. Do you eat today, or do you go hungry to try to avoid starving tomorrow? When two people need medicine and you only have one, who do you give it to? When you've accepted help from your neighbours but can't (or don't want to) help them in return, how do you live with yourself? I've been fortunate enough to never have had to experience times of war myself, but this game has really brought me close to what I think it might be like. The magnitude of tension and empathy, relief and heartbreak, is magnificent. The game also does a fantastic job showcasing the way war affects people, victims and perpetrators of war crimes / crimes against humanity, as well as who people were before the war and who they've had to become. I do wish they didn't make the soldiers and rebels appear so intentfully evil, and all you can do is kill them or be killed by them; it would have been really nice to have the option for merciful and compassionate interactions with them (at least some of them), too. I think it's important to remember that soldiers and rebels are people too, and that even the best of us might do terrible things under the worst circumstances. I am NOT saying that their crimes should be condoned, but I do wish that the game didn't portray them all as psychopathic, narcissistic, delighting in abusing their power, and like the only right thing to do is to murder them all. I wouldn't normally complain about a video game making a bad guy out of the enemy, but in a game that's all about portraying war honestly and fairly, it doesn't seem all that fair. I wish the game's portrayal of good and evil wasn't so starkly black and white. That's really my only complaint about the game's design, though. This is one of my favourite games of all time, I buy it on every new platform and account I play with, because I always want to play and experience it again. I don't even like difficult games normally, but this one hits different, because it feels meaningful and real.
This is such a beautiful game. It truly shows the true side of war where civilians suffer and there's glory for none
No tutorial whatsoever, not even words. You have to figure out how the game works and what all the symbols mean by yourself with no so much as a label to help you. Glitchy symbols that don't always mean the same thing and show the wrong icon at times. The game punishes you for playing it, making it absolutely no fun whatsoever. Doesn't matter what you do when the game decides randomly that you get raided, your people die and your stuff gets stolen even though you had guards with weapons and you have no control whatsoever over that aspect. The game just gives out bad moments constantly and you feel like you have no control, because you don't have control. The game just plays it's self and either it tells you that you win, or it tells you that you lose. Might as well flip a coin and keep your money.

What can I say.... this was the first time i ever played a game like this. (more into starcraft, total war , warhammer, fps etc games) and was absolutely instantly hooked. Its a playstyle I never encountered before but easily able too figure out. The style of choosing too be good or evil, or too steal/not steal, kill/leave alive. all the while has base building in it also. I highly suggest watching gameplay online because reading another persons review on it can only go so far. but IMO buy it. And again IMO only if its on sale....but that has nothing too do with the game. That is my preference towards all games. Solid 8/10 I'd like too see more areas but I doubt this game will go any further since its been released in 2014, cool mods also i suggest checking those out because it fixes stuff like how much of the same item you can carry which comes in very handy when you go on raids, and also more weapons and things too create gives it more diversity and replay ability. -FIN
This isn't just a game—it's an experience that truly captures the meaning of sacrifice, brotherhood, and courage. Every battle is intense, the variety of weapons keeps the gameplay exciting, and every moment keeps you on edge. A game that's absolutely worth every minute I spent playing it.
