Banco, la historia en cortita pero cumplidora. La atmosfera de Nikita es lo más. Lo recomiendo, además sale dos mangos dale no seas rata.
This Morning I Decided to Die is a visual novel that approaches one of the most difficult subjects in storytelling with a level of seriousness that immediately sets it apart from more conventional narrative games. Developed by ctc and published by Nikita Kryukov, the game centers on a young woman who begins the day having already decided to end her life. From that premise, the story unfolds through conversations, observations, and personal reflections that gradually reveal the emotional burden she carries. Rather than relying on dramatic twists or action-driven sequences, the experience focuses on the protagonist's inner world, creating a deeply personal and often unsettling journey. The game's greatest strength lies in its writing. Every interaction feels shaped by the heroine's fragile mental state, allowing players to witness how depression and anxiety influence the way she interprets people and events around her. Ordinary situations become emotionally charged because of her perspective, and the narrative consistently encourages players to consider the weight behind seemingly simple choices. The branching paths add meaningful engagement, as decisions can influence both the protagonist's outlook and the eventual outcome of her story. This structure gives the player a sense of involvement while maintaining the emotional focus of the narrative. Visually, the game adopts an art style that complements its psychological themes. The presentation is not designed to impress through technical spectacle but through atmosphere and symbolism. Character designs and backgrounds often feel intentionally distant or uncertain, reinforcing the protagonist's difficulty in trusting others. This artistic direction helps immerse players in her emotional condition, making the world feel filtered through her troubled perception. The result is a visual experience that supports the storytelling rather than competing with it. The soundtrack further enhances the game's mood. Soft, melancholic compositions accompany the narrative and strengthen the sense of loneliness that permeates much of the experience. The music rarely dominates a scene, instead working quietly in the background to support emotional moments. This restraint proves effective, allowing the narrative and character development to remain the primary focus while still benefiting from a carefully crafted atmosphere. As a visual novel, gameplay remains relatively straightforward. Most of the player's time is spent reading dialogue, exploring character thoughts, and making occasional choices. Those seeking complex mechanics or extensive interactivity may find the experience limited, but the simplicity serves the story well. The game's objective is not to challenge players through gameplay systems but to engage them emotionally through narrative choices and character exploration. Its multiple endings provide additional incentive to revisit the story and discover how different decisions can shape the protagonist's fate. The subject matter is undeniably heavy, and the game does not shy away from confronting issues such as depression, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts. Because of this, it can be emotionally exhausting at times. However, its willingness to tackle these themes honestly is also what gives the story its impact. Instead of exploiting sensitive topics for shock value, the narrative attempts to portray the complexities of mental health struggles with empathy and sincerity. Players who appreciate serious, character-driven storytelling are likely to find considerable value in its approach. While its niche subject matter and minimal gameplay may limit its appeal to a broader audience, This Morning I Decided to Die succeeds in delivering a memorable and thought-provoking experience. It combines effective writing, fitting visual design, and atmospheric music to create a story that lingers long after it ends. For fans of psychological visual novels and emotionally driven narratives, it offers a compelling exploration of despair, hope, and the choices that can shape a person's future. Rating: 7/10
This games needs less, "let's eat, grandma!" and more "let's eat grandma." If you like short form (under 1 hour) depressing visual novels, you'll probably find this an okay experience. If not, you probably won't enjoy this. This just narrowly avoided getting a not recommended because, while the story is generic enough, the art direction is interesting.

Sideways thumb, it's ehhh, it's ok. At the very least it's a good look into the mindset of someone with a severe psychotic mood disorder. The plot/narrative is... serviceable? I'm not sure why everyone in the MC's life is actual human garbage, unless it's some sort of hallucination or delusion? Either way I bought it for .99c so I can't really complain that much but it seems like the sort of quality you would get from a free VN that is a debut project. I'm being fairly charitable here. I kind of agree with a lot of the negative reviews but I gave it a chance anyway.
