Flux Caves is a 3D puzzle game. My plan is to create something which can be a challenge, but still you enjoy to play. I want to create a soothing environment and this is enhanced by slow piano-based music.
💡Summary.

3D puzzle game in a strange world with good quality gameplay and it's looks.
Challenging, fun to play and quite interesting.

⚔️Gameplay.

You are in a world with a lot of puzzle levels. Challenging ones, interesting ones and related.
The world and it's enviroment looks good, smooth and nicely made. (On highest resolutions)
The price for the game should not be 80 cents, more like 2 to 5 euro's as it's enjoyable! Here is a video on lowest resolutions as i couldn't play the game on higher resolutions due my PC specs. It's a short gameplay and shows you the 'look' of it. https://youtu.be/BhPaS8oQc-I

🔰Maps.

Not sure if there are more 'maps' but i'm sure that there are a lot of different levels and levels that look different. For now, the first 35 minutes, the 'levels' are quite nicely made with no lag.

⚔️Weapons.

The only weapon in this game is your mind & brain.

🎬Graphics & Textures.

Smooth, balanced and just nice.
It fits the game and it's whole vibe. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2179364555 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2179364599 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2179364514

🎵Sounds & Special Effects

Nice music, sound effects and related. The song used in the middle part of my gameplay video has a copyright. Overall, nicely made music and others that fits perfectly in this game.

💻Menu & General.

Simple.

✔️Positive.

The idea of the game itself.
The graphics and sounds.
The amount of potential the game has.

❌Negative.

Small laggy moments.
A little more balancing related to lag spikes.

💭Suggestions.

Being able to make your own puzzle and publish it on the Workshop.

Do i recommend this game?
Yes i do, it's fun and enjoyable. Challenging but also relaxing. For the price, amazing! Can't wait to see more. for a game for 1 buck this one is shockingly good actually. it looks decent, plays nice and the puzzles are solid. there are even little secrets to collect. but it's not perfect. you can fall out of the world and need to go back to the last checkpoint. if you beat the game the controls stop working and you need to quit using alt-f4. nothing too serious though. for the price it's surprisingly good. recently i've played a lot of games way worse than this for x10 the price or even more. it took 2.5 hours to finish and 100% the game and i'm happy with that.
Flux Caves is a pipe/block placement/pathing game rendered in 3D where you push pipes around to solve various puzzles (so you can fuel up your spaceship and escape, I guess, but who really cares why we do these things?). One important note is that even though this is an amateur project, it does seem to be sincerely and genuinely made. I couldn't find any flipped assets, plagiarism or any other kind of insincere actions from the developer, but unfortunately genuine intentions alone are not enough to produce a brilliant PC gaming experience. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game assets are far from bleeding edge, with lowish polygon counts and somewhat low resolution textures, making this look like it's at least 10 years old. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks poor in comparison to more professionally produced games as a result of their decisions. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Flux Caves didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for finishing the game, trivial to get, but less than 17 percent of players bothered to seriously play the game. The poor quality of this game is also reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 5 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. Flux Caves is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.
Profile Features Limited!
Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
Nice relaxing game. The puzzles are not really difficult but not braindead either. A little thinking and you have a nice calming experience with some succes on the side. Worth it!
Cute little game. A bit rough around the edges. Encountered several graphical glitches, managed to fall out of a level while searching for a cake (and of course it hadn't saved the fact that I had finished it). The most serious issue was that in one level (17 I think) most of the balls actually flew out of a corner pipe. The game is very cheap though, so I'll take a few bugs. Having an open world to find your puzzles in was nice though. If you're a player of puzzle games like The Talos Principle, don't expect a challenge. At no point will the puzzles get difficult at all. Finding puzzle 18 was probably the biggest challenge in the game. Played on Ubuntu Linux at ultrawide resolution without issues.
Były niewielkie problemy dopiero w levelu 17 i 18. W 17 jeden puzzel-pipe wyrzucał piłkę w niedobrym kierunku (wystarczyło go podmienić na inny).
enjoyable relaxing little puzzle game, well worth a play after a busy day.
This feels someone's first attempt at making a game, and if that is the case: kudos on the effort, keep trying, I'm sure you'll make something great one day. That said, there is really nothing worth experiencing here for fans of first person puzzle games. The puzzles are more tedious than puzzling, taking a ridiculous amount of time to push each block one space at a time into the right position, and then forcing you to wait while the solution confirms that it is correct several times in a row before allowing you to progress. I guarantee you will spend more time inputting solutions than you will trying to figure them out. That might be forgivable if the puzzles were innovative or interesting, but there are simply no new ideas here. If you've ever pushed blocks to solve a puzzle in a videogame before, you've seen everything this game has to offer, and have likely seen it done way better. Graphics, sound, etc range from barely serviceable to annoying/obstructive. Honestly, if you're a puzzle game addict like me, the low price tag will probably entice you to check it out anyway. But if you really want to know if this game is worth spending an evening or two messing around with, the answer is no.
My brains hurt! :)
Great little puzzle game! A bit like The Witness but with sokoban style puzzles. If you enjoyed The Witness or The Talos Principle, give this one a try!
