They Look Like People

[h1] Longer Review For Us Snobs :') [/h1] In Short: It's an alright game with some strong points, but not worth 5 dollars. In Long: The visuals are short and sweet, the soundtrack works very well for the game. At the same time, the gameplay isn't too interesting and the voice acting is pretty average (It didn't have too much emotion put into it, but whatever) The main issue I have with this game is the plot. At first, it seems to focus on a toxic enviroment and how it leads to depression and self-loathing (It's very "on the nose" about this, and makes the main character a emo teenager :P ) But then it uses these traits to turn the main character into a selfish jerk? Yes, depression does not equal you can be a bad boy, but it makes people have a lot of irrational thoughts. I just don't know what the plot is necessarily aiming for. Is it meant to be about the effects of depression, or is it about how humans are rooted in selfishness and greed and that is just how humans act normally? I don't know, and the plot isn't really fleshed-out (since like it says, it is a pretty short game) While I do love you Aaron <3, the only reason I don't recommend this game is the fact that it is 5 dollars (I got it on sale though). I do like supporting indie developers, but I also don't like the trend of pretty much every horror game being $5. There are a lot of strong things going for this game (I know I criticized the plot a lot), such as the soundtrack and graphics. But I really do think the price tag is a bit too high. That being said, it's a good starting point! It's better than Poppy Playtime (which is already an overpriced game), and there are a lot of good things that are part of this. I just think that making the price to around $1-2 would make is more available to a lot of people (but then again, I don't do game developing for a living, so maybe $5 is a good price?)

This game was dope. If you never check out Trial by Fire, pick this game up. They Look Like People is a short and clean narrative with a nice little twist. I wish it went on a little longer, maybe we can get a sequel? Call it We look like people lol. Worth the couple of bucks. I also made a video on it if you are interested. Interesting science fiction story about the problems of the human mind, family relationships and contact with other forms of life. The game is short, minimalist and with an interesting story. The game is a way for telling a short horror story (like The Outer Limits or The Twilight Zone episodes). Negative points the price is somewhat high and lenght of the game is short. Whoever looks for strong emotions or a lot of terror, will not find it here.

Nagyon rövid és semmi érdekes nem történik benne.

(Am ende der Bewertung findet sein Link zu meinem Youtube Video) Zum ersten würde ich das Spiel weniger als Horror Spiel, als eher als ein Atmosphärisches Adventure bezeichnen. Der nächste Punkt Grafik, man bekommt genau das geboten was die Bildervorschau auf Steam zeigt. Mag man oder nicht muss man selbst entscheiden, mir Perönlich hat es gut gefallen trug auch zur Atmosphäre bei. Das Spielt geht so ca um die 30 Minuten und die Story die man in dieser Zeit erlebt erscheint zu anfangs etwas zu zufällig aus der Luft gegriffen, ändert sich aber alles bis zum ende des Spiels. Bugs sind mir Persönlich keine begegnet. Wiederspiel Wert is hier natürlich nicht so extrem Vorhanden. Unter dem Strich ein Super tolles Game, für 3.99 zu empfehlen und man kann ne schön seichte aber doch sehr Atmospärische Story erleben für diesen Preis.
