super hard game, lots of fun and replayablity, wish it had a Coop Tho. 4 Stars because No Coop
The dungeon crawler missions in campaign made me quit after starting the third.. i didn't know this was a part of the game and got so disappointed when being forced to play them. And don't say you don't have to.. if you want decent points to be able to fight the other missions, then you do.. the dungeons missions are the definition of tedious. It's a shame that i played more than 2 hours, now i can't refund.

Wish game still got updates. Hear there is a second game in the works on the maybe maybe if you pray hard enough for it to happen. This game was one of a kind.
I so very much wanted to love this game. But it is so incredibly cruel and unforgiving. The difficulty on easy is diabolical. I cannot even fathom what it's like on anything else. I feel like its one slog after another. And worse still, it actively punishes you for losing, with each loss on a level reducing the experience you gain if you do eventually complete it. The skill tree is great, but the pittence of exp you might get from a gruling hours long mission might not even be enough for you to unlock anything. I love hord games, and many many times this game satisfys that itch completely. But good lord, every single massive wave is always a gargantuan increase in numbers. You could be holding off hord after hord with what you think is a really well structured defense, only to get a wave that completely overwhelms you instantly. I feel like this game actually hates me. I want to enjoy it, but it doesn't want to be enjoyed. It only wants suffering.
Good game if u dont mind wasting hours of ur time if u fail and fail u will if ur not a guidegamer.........
Parts of this game are genius. The core gameplay is absolutely difficult, forcing you to balance expansion risk with careful planning and detailed unit management. It's all Ironman, so you can't just savescum when you mess up. You have to have fallback plans and defenses with multiple layers. You have lots of choices in tech and strategy, all of which are interesting and all of which can work. But for some reason they decided to include mandatory pixel hunt mini-game levels that have nothing to do with the core gameplay. It's like being forces to stop a tense game to play Where's Waldo, but on a poster sized image and Waldo is just 3 pixels tall. Just to do the campaign you'll literally spend 2-3 hours of your life scouring maps you've already cleared for hidden pixels. Again and again and again and again.
