Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 25.86/day in the week to Sep 9 → 60.57/day in the week after.
One market had a chart position on both sides of this cut. One sale in one country is an anecdote — read it next to the store-wide figures below.

Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.

Reviews
the displayed price isnt the actual price there are a ton of dlcs that are essential all of them add up to 169 dollars and while yes they do go on sale often this is still a garbage Monetization method and im guilty of buying some dlc too and guess what this will never change since as soon as u criticise them there fans will rip you apart even tho no other game does this.
money grab for their next money grab game. their streams about the community are for sheep. you even led on your developers to make start on development of an upgraded game engine FOR CLASSIC and led them to try to develop more content instead of having the work on making the game a standalone and separate from the shared IP of COTW. you lead on the community to hype the on coming new and improved content then shot it down. head this be a warning of all avalanche studio and EW games in the future that they've failed on like Generation Zero and Just Cause and second extinction to name a few. take a guess on what would be next with the added micro transaction and weapon reskins instead of fixes to previous like weapons that you pay for.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 16: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

i honestly never write negative reviews, i'll say that i do like this game. But i do not like the company making it anymore killing their old game making it unplayable to anyone is rediculus stuff like this has to stop im sick of getting more and more and more abandoned games into my lib its rediculus. I own about 600 different games i bet you 10-20 maybe even 30% is just pure abandonware.
company has a habit of leaving their older games in an unplayable state rip Classic and Primal
i dont even have 100 hours on this game and i bought it the day it came out , have almost 3,000 hours on theHunter classic. this game is way more of a arcade compared to classic. STOP KILLING GAMES! this game is trash compared to classic and they shutting down classic to push more money out of COTW Shame on avalanche studios.
Thumbs down for killing theHunter Classic
This game studio is shutting down and killing the hunter classic and leaving the players who spent money in the game to hang and dry. Be aware this will happen to COTW as well so request a refund while you can and protest studios killing games and taking your money and running. 0/10 F this studio and what they have done.
I will never trust this developer again after they decided to kill off TheHunter Classic! This game always felt too arcade like for me anyways. There are other developers doing a better job that don't leave the customer hanging without the ability to play a game that many of us spent thousands on over the past 17 years.
The game is for arcade players. Not recommended for those who want a realistic experience.
The best hunting simulator out there, but it has one major problem: the overwhelming number of DLCs that make the game easier or simply more enjoyable. If you want the full experience, you'll end up spending 60€ or more, as the developers seem to keep "solving problems" by releasing new DLCs—better weapons, new maps, dogs, scopes, tents, vehicles, feeders, electronic callers, and much more. Good luck enjoying the game without all of that.
