The voice acting is sooo bad. Thankfully there are not many scenes, just before and after each area is complete. The match 3 is just basic stuff. There are three helpful items you can use, such as a hatchet to break chains. You can only use them once their meter is full. And there's bosses! That was unexpected. Boss level at the end of each section. It was different and kind of cool, so I give them a plus for that. But overall it's just not worth it to me and I requested a refund. This game has no achievmenets. No trading cards. No incentive to keep playing. And the voice acting is worse than high school, it's that bad. Oh, and it has spiders, too.

[h1]Сюжет.[/h1] Олимп - место обитания богов. Среди огромных чудесных зданий летает на светящихся в лучах солнца крыльях парень по имени Анжело, местный архитектор. Пока не долетается из-за своей любви к смертной принцессе, из-за чего его выкинут с Олимпа, и придется строить дворцы уже на земле, чтобы завоевать любовь принцессы. Минут через 15 уже натурально стали болеть глаза. Добавим к этому странное разрешение, и вообще ощущение что ты сейчас играешь в инди-трэш сделанный под Windows 95 без всяких оптимизаций. Музыка тут норм, это плюс. [h1]Как итог.[/h1] Игра которую предлагают сыграть на системе чья поддержка закончится через год, с картинкой как под Windows 95, и нудным геймплеем. Here is a quick rundown: [h1]Gameplay[/h1] If you don’t know what a “match 3” game is you are probably the wrong audience for this title, but here are the basics: You are given a board with a bunch of different tiles. You can flip 2 adjacent tiles horizontally or vertically and if you get 3 or more identical tiles in a row, they get removed. The rest of the board shifts down and a set of new random tiles are added on top. In this particular game, you collect certain materials on each level. The number and type of elements needed to progress are shown on the top of the screen. You then use these materials and elements to build and improve your town. The goal is story related and does not affect the gameplay, however, levels get progressively harder. There are 79 levels split between 5 areas. I have not finished the game but I would guess it would take at least 5-7 hours to complete. There are some nice additions to the basic match-3 gameplay: some tiles are locked in place, the board shape changes from level to level, there are spiders crawling around the board and trapping tiles and so on. You also have special abilities at your disposal. They can help remove pesky tiles without matching them but that requires energy. The energy pool slowly replenishes with each successful match. There are [b]boss battles[/b] even! [h1]Presentation[/h1] [b]The Trials of Olympus[/b] is a first part of the trilogy. The rest of the series should become available on Steam too. It is a story about a young Greek god who was banished from Olympus. You have to prove your worth by building a majestic palace and… I am not going to lie, I don’t play this kind of games for the story. If you do, there are cut scenes and pieces of dialogue in-between the levels that will keep you informed. Overall the game looks good. The art is nice, the dialogues are fully voiced, the music is original and fits the style of the game. [h1]Drawbacks[/h1] Casual games are not for everyone. They are aimed at, well, a casual gamer. This is the type of game I like to play in-between other games or when listening to podcasts. The lack of achievements will probably be the main drawback for many players. Steam achievements became useless so it doesn’t bother me personally but I know that it is a deal breaker to some. The game is built on an old engine designed for Win XP and 7. There is a warning in the beginning that it may run slow on Win 8 & 10. I have not experienced any issues whatsoever on Windows 10. The game ran perfectly fine but your mileage may vary. I recommend playing in a window. Full screen works too (at least on 16:9 screen) but Alt+Tab did not work for me. [h1]Verdict[/h1] As far as Match-3 games go, [b]The Trials of Olympus[/b], is a very solid offering. I enjoyed it and can easily recommend it. I tend to play a lot of games like this even though I don’t consider myself a casual gamer. They can be rather addictive. [h1]Описание:[/h1] 3 в ряд обыкновенная. Что делать в подобных играх рассказывать смысла нет, так что сразу к делу: Русского языка в игре нет. Музыка стандартная для подобных игр. Сюжет есть и подан он отлично в виде диалогов с анимацией и полной озвучкой. Строительство между уровней есть и выглядит тоже неплохо. А вот что расстроило и почему палец вниз - игра очень и очень скучная в плане геймплея. Я наверное еще не встречал таких скучных 3 в ряд... Ничего не взрывается, бонусы не сыпятся, просто сидишь и щелкаешь кубики туда сюда... Зевать начинаешь уже на первом уровне. Для три в ряд самое главное это геймплей и зачем нужна озвучка, крутая графика между уровней и прикольное строительство, если самая основная часть игры вызывает рвотные рефлексы в комплексе с желанием заснуть... Еще прям рассмешила такая штука - При заходе в игру идет надпись, что игра часто тормозит на системах Windows 10 и Vista, но в требованиях как минимальных так и рекомендуемых эти системы как раз стоят... Не рекомендую... The Trials of Olympus* is a match 3 game. It's a game that's been released to Steam from the days of Windows 7, the golden age of match three games and it shows. It has a great relaxing atmosphere with high quality match three game play, it's the perfect way to unwind. There is also a nice story and quests to facilitate the game play. Игр жанра "три в ряд" десятки, если не сотни. Я не фанат клонов и надоедливого геймплея, но этой все же поставил бы плюс за старания разработчиков. Есть какая-никакая история, разнообразие в геймплее, приятная анимация. Я бы даже сказал, что попробовал бы пройти ее, но уже тошнит от этих полосок в ряд.

The Trials of Olympus hält das, was man auch erwartet. Ein netter kleiner Zeitvertreib für zwischendurch ohne große Überraschungen. Dafür ist die Geschichte ganz nett dargestellt und die Level vor allem im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen 3-Matchern fair gestaltet. Hier hat man mal nicht versucht, fehlende Level durch einen enormen Schwierigkeitsgrad etwas zu strecken. Teilweise sind die Level sogar fast zu einfach. Was fehlt? Ein paar Errungenschaften wären fein und die Möglichkeit Level direkt zu wiederholen um bessere Ergebnisse zu erlangen (oder ich habe es einfach nicht gefunden) Wenn man es im Sale inklusive der beiden Nachfolger findet, kann man ruhig zugreifen.
