Faerie Solitaire Dire

Has turned into classic vaporware. No updates for months. Discussion groups are dead. No responses to questions nor any input from developers since beginning of year. And the fact that the only 2 positive reviews this year have 224 hours (5+ full work weeks!!) and 58 hours of play should set off some red flags. Ed: Now 2 months since my original post. Not a single post to discussion groups, developers page, reviews. Game has been abandoned...don't buy-- Edit #2--now been almost a year since my last update--still nothing from developer other than "We're working on it". At what point do you pull a crude beta off Steam and stop ripping people off? Edit #3 OK bpg-- it's now been over another year and nothing new delivered. Zero, zip, nada, nothing. And you're still ripping people off for $20 early access fees 2 years later. Time for the walk of shame. Edit #4 Another year and this guy is still ripping off people for early access--read the reviews and discussions before you commit a penny! Edit #5 Now at 4 years since this guy started scamming people on a beta "Soon to be released game" Don't buy!! Now 6 years out and per developer Jan. 29, 2024 note--project is dead-"-they have run out of money" Total waste of money on this early access project!!

The dev sent me a key. I have played all his games. They may be solitaire games but with all the different twists and turns, you really have to plan how to remove the cards. As said before it's still in EA so half the things don't work....Like the eggs, lore and magic but since I have played the other games I have some idea as to how this one will turn out. The story line is a bit darker. I am only up to Level 9. Once it's released I will have to edit this review..

I had this on my wishlist for a very long time as I love the other games in the series. I wish I had read the reviews again before buying as there have been no updates in over a year. It's still not finished and kinda looks like a game that had only just entered Early Access. I am requesting refund for this reason and will buy again IF it is eventually completed. (Got burned a few times with EA games in the past). Don't buy until the game gets it's full release unless you don't mind playing a bare bones solitaire. Buy one of his other games in the series instead. ;)

I have played all of Subsoap's games and really do enjoy Faerie Solitaire Dire but it is lacking at the moment a lot of stuff. So it really is very "early access". Go into the game knowing this, no pets or artwork yet in the game. However the dev's are working on it and it is still enjoyable yet limited. I feel at this point we are more testing the game then fully experiencing it. Maybe putting the game out was a bit to early access for some (maybe a beta would have been better)? I find it still a positive experience but giving you a heads up before buying it at this point if your looking for a fully immersive game. I look forward to the many features to come and plan to stick with the game as a solitaire game it is fun. It is more of a neutral experience at the moment I guess than anything. ** I will update my review as the game development progresses of course and provide screen-caps once I take some!

It's been out for 10 months (at the time of this review), and it's still an unfinished game. Only buy this game if you *really* love adventure solitaire games, and definitely don't buy this game at full price.

Not worth the price. No updates in over a year and half. You can't even finish the achievements because 3 of them are tied to content that was never added. If you want mindless solitaire there are much cheaper options.

I like Faerie Solitaire Dire even it's still an unfinished game , i recommend it, the dev need to add the shop only.

Plays great on a Steam deck! Super fun and addicting game. Even my 18 yr old was hooked.

Faltan algunos capítulos (está en acceso anticipado) pero seguro que cuando salga del acceso anticipado, estará completo y será más disfrutable aún. --------------------- Even being in early access, it is a game to be enjoyed. It's a classic solitaire with new mechanics, a story, and hours of entertainment. Some chapters are missing (it's in early access) but I'm sure when it comes out of early access, it will be complete and even more enjoyable.

Don't buy a game because it's not finished and the price is obscenely high...
