Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Sep 1 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

'The Tragedy at Deer Creek' is a cinematic adventure set in a remote, long abandoned logging camp, exploring the ambition, hardship and struggles of its people, and the tragedy that ultimately befell them. A story about the bonds of family and the sacrifices we make to protect those we love.

Explore the abandoned camp and uncover fragments of the lives once lived there.
Each discovery draws you deeper into the story of its people
...and the events that changed everything.

Find items from the past, holding clues as to what happened at Deer Creek.
Some were never meant to be found, some hidden in plain sight.

Photographer Charlotte Gray ventures to the long-abandoned logging camp at Deer Creek to complete her project ”Forgotten Frontiers” - a visual record of places time has slowly erased, and the quiet stories left in its wake.
What she finds is not simply an abandoned camp, but one that feels suspended in time, as though held in place by something unseen, as if its occupants stepped away only moments ago rather than decades. And in the heavy stillness of the vast, frozen landscape, Charlotte begins to sense something dormant - Deer Creek does not merely hold the stories of its past.
It yearns to set them free.

An alright 7/10 game. Not a fan of pixel-hunting and looking for hotspots, which made the game artificially last 4 hours, but it doesn't overstay its welcome. The supernatural element, although foreshadowed, made the notable appearance only in the final act of the game and was mainly used to speedrun the plot. Controls are mouse-only, but you need a keyboard at hand to press escape to save/quit game from time to time. Apart form that, it's all good. Quite nice debut game, I would say. I will definitely look towards the next ones.
This is a story rich point and click game, with exploration and puzzles that move the story along at a nice pace. Definitely a recoomended one.

If you enjoy point and click mystery, I think this is a very good addition to the genre. If you enjoy the feeling of unsolved true crime stories, I would say that's the best way to describe this game's overall tone. And if those both sound good to you, I highly recommend you pick it up. My only word of advice is: Turn off item identification unless you get stuck. If you're stuck, it is likely you missed an item and this feature makes it easier to find things. But it felt more enjoyable to leave it off otherwise.
Even without every question answered, the story behind "The Tragedy at Deer Creek" will compel you to keep slowly uncovering new layers by solving puzzles and finding documents and diaries left by the vanished nineteenth-century settlers. While the user interface feels a bit old-fashioned, and the challenge level might leave some gamers wishing for more, the presentation is beautifully bleak and pulls you immediately into the sadness of the story. I very much enjoyed my few hours spent in this ghost town, and my heart fell when I had to leave, wanting to find out more about its history and the people who once lived there, and the events that followed the tragedy that befell them. But my job there was done, and I guess some mysteries are better left buried in the past. https://adventuregamehotspot.com/review/6822/
really great vibes! Loved every second of exploration and the artstyle is so moody and evocative, put me right in the mood for something spooky. If you want to click around a cool winter atmosphere for a little while, strongly recommend. regrettably, the plot is a different story- completely paper-thin. I would hesitate to call this a mystery, at least in the traditional whodunit sense. the short runtime totally kneecaps any chance for depth or even fulfilling the tonal promise of the beginning of the game. without time to add any complexity to the central mystery, the perpetrators and motive feel completely irrelevant- one could sub in any other of the many undeveloped named characters and get near exactly the same story. the slow build of survival and supernatural tension comes to its peak at the reveal of what's behind the storeroom door, at which point all tension quickly deflates and the ghostly presence shifts entirely to deus ex machina. I cannot emphasize enough that a mystery should probably not end with the entirety of the story being exposited by
ghost powerpoint.
There's so much going on in the concept that could have been pulled from to make a really interesting mystery, but none of had the time to be developed- why have 13 named named characters if most of them are completely superfluous? maybe if the scope was the right size for the project the culprit could have had a motive that was mentioned more than three puzzles before the
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ghost powerpoint.
I really want to love this game and I do love some parts but the ending left me unsatisfied, which is my cardinal sin of mystery games.
Enjoyable and with captivating graphics. The puzzles are nice and the entire interface was really great! It did feel like the individual days were somewhat short and we didn't really do much on each, so I was surprised when Charlotte commented on the sunlight as at first it didn't seem like much time passed at all. I would also like to see her return to her family, maybe glimpse how she'd cope with the resolution of the story.
Атмосферное погружение в заснеженную меланхолию
Прошел The Tragedy at Deer Creek

not bad, sorta shot. but it had a good story.
Rather short, but with a pleasing art style, relatively easy puzzles and a story that is indeed tragic and well written. I really enjoyed it!
I really adore this game and the story. I've never really played a point and click game before but I was immediately drawn in by the visual style and the mystery aspect of the game. I had the honour of joining this project for an internship in 2024 and I chose to join the project out of genuine interest and a want to help out with such a promising game! I'm beyond thrilled with the final product, I'm immensely proud of Andreas and Micke for pulling off a game of this caliber on their first try and it was a genuinely enjoyable experience. I don't have as much playtime as I probably would have if I knew nothing about the game, but I got to watch a friend play it without knowing anything and it was clear how invested they were the entire time! It's easy to be biased when you've had a hand in the project, but I just genuinely love it. I really enjoy the more linear story becuase that's something I've been missing a lot in recent games. I highly recommend the game to anyone who wants a shorter and fulfilling game experience with fun puzzles sprinkled in along the story!!
