I feel like the devs didn't test their own hardcore bosses. If you don't get good RNG, the fight is as good as lost. You get hit at the wrong time, your book flies into the middle of a pile of projectiles that are impossible to get through without dying, and you restart and hope for better RNG the next time. The premise of the game was cool to start, but trying to finish the hardcore bosses are not enjoyable at all. Great premise and time if you're not trying to get all the achievements, but finishing this game is not an enjoyable task. Loved the art and music, and if it was a regular bullet hell, I might have liked it more. The typing + dodging feels near impossible on the hardcore bosses. Update: This is in fact a skill issue. I went back and finished it. It's still a nightmare for a completionist.

只适合用手柄来玩,或者双人操作,一个打字,一个移动,不然这个游戏难度实在是太高了
Horrible UX: I can't type while I'm using the keyboard to move the character. Whoever designed this was not thinking of the user. Not recommended at all.
First thing's first: photo sensitivity warning with this game. The game likes to flash white at points, including doing it repeatedly on the title screen. That aside, I enjoyed the game, though it's definitely not without its flaws. The gameplay is interesting, though it can get frustrating when your progress gets reset because you took a hit and your bible just so happens to fly through an impassable wall of bullets forcing you to wait and your spell's progress decays. I generally like the bible dropping mechanic as it makes the game pretty forgiving. but the RNG with where your bible gets flung to can be annoying. The difficulty is all over the place, With the final boss being significantly easier than the two bosses that come before it, Most bosses have gimmicks attached to them that makes the fight interesting. One boss obscures your bible making it harder to read, one forces you to disarm bombs, and one hacks your bible and changes the i's to 1's and the o's to 0's. Weirdly, though, the final boss doesn't have a gimmick. They shoot a lot of bullets but nothing else. They don't even move. The humor is similarly all over the place. The game loves to make references for seemingly no reason. Some of them work great and fit the game's theme like the first boss being a girl possessed and vomiting like in the movie The Exorcist, but then you'll have a gangster you fight in a strip club quote Sunset Riders by saying "bury me with my money" before collapsing or the main antagonist quote Castlevania's "What is a man?" meme before his boss fight. It feels like the kind of thing you'd see in a romhack. My last gripe with this game is more a nitpick than anything. After each stage you unlock an optional equippable item to use, stuff like movement speed up, longer range, or heavier bible so it doesn't fly as far when dropped. My problem is the game punishes you for using them by giving you a penalty to your score for equipping them. It sends mixed signals that I'm unlocking something for doing well, but that thing I'm unlocking is being labeled a crutch by the game and actively discourages me from using it at all. Ultimately I recommend the game. The story might be mid at best, but who plays a bullet hell for the story?

This game is massively overtuned. Very fun idea, but the people saying RNG is the winning factor are absolutely correct. There are attack combinations that are factually not avoidable, and they don't happen rarely. You can not allow yourself to get hit by the non-avoidable attacks, so you basically have to play it like a passive bullet hell first and a typing game second. You type one or two words every few attacks when you get a VERY brief pause. If you don't save ALL of your life for the unavoidable attacks, you will not beat the boss. Even then you only get three, so if they RNG out more than three unavoidable attack combinations, you lose anyway. That's just bad game design for a game like this.
very unique game
打开远程协助,可以让这个游戏变成一个有趣的双人游戏来着,两只手不够用,但四只手就够用了
