Meu 1º Soulslike! Combate viciante e divertido!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is quite the game, it's not bad at all but it's not worth it at full price, it has great combat, the story it's alright, I have no fps drops, it plays well, on a sale I find this game not a bad deal.
Un soul like très sympa, et plutôt beau graphiquement. Le principe de démembrer les ennemi pour récupérer des morceaux d'armure est plutot pas mal. Moins de 2€ en promo, ca vaut vraiment le coup pour le temps passé dessus !!!
Is this the biggest glow-up in history of gaming? I don’t know, but for me it's one of the most impressive ones. Deck13, developers of the Surge, made in the past a little game called Lords of the Fallen. It was one of the first, or maybe even THE first souls-like made outside FromSoft studio. Lord of the Fallen was also a disgusting, abhorrent piece of crap game that every physical copy should be collected from the world and dumped in some deep hole in the middle of the desert. So there I was, mistakenly making a shallow assumption — I truly believed that, because of how much of a stinker their previous game was, this one will also be low level garbage. And I was wrong, I admit it without hesitation. The Surge is a much, much better title, more polished and with unique, interesting ideas, although still not reaching the full potential of an exceptional game, rather than wasting time to sink into mediocrity. Plus those unique ideas can be a real hit or miss sometimes. Like, seriously — some of those mechanics are interesting and really neat, but almost all of them are unpolished or lacking deeper thought. In the near future there is a CREO — multibillion dollar corporation specialized in cybernetics, implants, space rockets and saving the planet from destruction, all of this backed by shareholders and, of course, tax payers money. To work for CREO one must equip an exo-rig, something resembling the skeleton of the power armor, that can be filled with special components, fitted to do specific jobs in the factory. Our protagonist, man named Warren, who is unfortunately bound to wheelchair, start working in CREO, but on the first day on the job, the titular surge happens and now entire factory is on the lockdown, most of the machines go ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane, as well as majority of the workers, whose brain were fried during accident. And then, there is something much darker hiding in the shadows… You already know the premise — the Surge is hard-core souls like, it marks all of the checkboxes. Combat focused on dodging, managing stamina, light and heavy attacks (although here we have horizontal and vertical types, with almost the same speed and power), limited healing, gathering experience that you drop when you die, with only one chance to collect it back, building and upgrading gear, and areas filled to the brim with shortcuts that you need to unlock first. But all of those aspects of the genre have quirks attached to them, and almost all of them are flawed, which sometimes is hard to spot at first glance. So, let’s go — firstly, character progression. You don’t have stats. Your health, stamina and energy (more about it later) are fixed and never change. Leveling up raises your core power. Each piece of every armor requires a certain amount of core power to wear. So, how do you increase your HP or stamina? By using implants (that also require a certain amount of core power). You rig have initially 8 slots dedicated to them, which can be expanded later in the game to 12 and then to 16 (aside from getting them with story progression, you need to reach a certain core power level to unlock slots). That’s a whopping number, don’t you think? Well, nope, because how implants work. You can have multiple numbers of the same implant, and their effects stack. This also applies to healing ones. There are upgraded versions of them, but they just heal more, the number of doses is always the same — 3. You see where all of this is going? You have those 16 slots, but 4 of them are filled with health implants, so you have more HP, and another 4 is for healing, so you can have 12 doses instead of 3. Plus there is an implant that allows you to see enemies health bars, it is no brainer to use it, and then there is one that converts your energy into health, so suddenly you don’t have 16 slots, you only have 6. Of course you can try and run without health upgrades, but then you will simply get one shot by late games enemies. It's painful, because there is many types of implant you can use, but for the most time there is simply no room for them — I usually just use 3 healing implant, 4 health ones, stamina booster, few from DLC (The good, bad and augmented DLC give you really OP implants, but they have high core power requirements), the one that slow energy decay and help build it up with every attack. Oh yeah, new game+ gives your more implants slots up to 22 at the end of your second playthrough (and even more with subsequent runs), nevertheless it still limits you to using only a few of them, without room for deeper experimentation. Okay, time to talk about energy. You build up energy reserves by attacking enemies. It will decrease over time, and this creates some sort of paradox. Energy is used by you drones (which are this game range type attacks) and to activate some implants, but most importantly, already mentioned energy-to-health converter. So, if you want to use your drone, your RANGE attack, or heal your wounds, you need to engage the enemy first. Drones can attack also without energy, but they do literally 1 point of damage. Energy is used also for cutting of limbs, but more about it later. So, with all of this, you probably think that the Surge promotes a more aggressive playstyle? You attack the bad guy, you gather more energy, and then you can heal yourself without wasting your regular healing? No, not at all, mostly because of how quirky combat is. First of all, all your attacks are queued, so don’t you dare to spam buttons. Why is it bad? Because of movesets of the weapons and inability to cancel animations. I fight with staves during my playthroughs, so I will use them as an example. The first two attacks in combo are normal — press button once, Warren swing weapon once. Third one is this overhead spin that is basically three hits in a row. It’s long and you cannot cancel it — well, from my test I gathered that you can cancel attacks after 80% of animation passes, which is like not having this ability at all. Plus there are some enemies attacks that cannot be interrupted at all if the animation reaches a certain point. You are punished in this game hard for making mistakes, and especially for being greedy, so better trust your implants for keeping you safe and use hit and run tactics. Slow, methodical, without overextending attack combos — this is how you should play this game. More about combat — and this is bread and butter of it. You not only fight with enemies, you can also target their limbs — head, both legs and arms, as well as torso. No, no “you can”. You must, it is mandatory to win encounters. Damage limbs enough and you can cut it off before depleting the bad guy’s health bar. More — this is the only way to acquire new weapons, gear and materials to upgrade them. The instances where you find those items laying on the ground are few and limited. You want an enemy weapon? Well, attack his right arm and cut it off, so you can collect loot later. What is even more important, unprotected limbs make enemies easier to stagger. This almost makes combat encounters into two separated scenarios — you either focus on armored parts to get upgrade materials and loot, and because armor make enemies hard to stagger, you need to play more carefully, dodge often and watch out for you combos; or focus on unprotected parts, and because with that enemies have worse poise, you can play more aggressively, stunning them more often and therefore, having more control over battlefield. Well, until you realize that enemies stagger on cooldown to avoid a situation where you stunlock them to death. <Check the comment section for the rest of the review>
