About
It's your first day as a security officer in a mysterious building designed by an unknown architect. Within its vast stairwell, you are tasked with inspecting the floors for reported strange phenomena. Make your way through the building and carefully choose which way to go based on your findings.
If everything is normal, proceed upstairs.
If you notice an anomaly, go downstairs, quickly.
Do not miss too many anomalies.
The Stairwell is a psychological horror game inspired by anomaly loop games such as The Exit 8, with a new vertical dimension of massive scale. There are over 50 anomalies to uncover between all difficulties. You can see how many are left to find after you win a game. Anomalies that you haven't seen will usually appear first.
Compete against the world for the fastest game completion time and see how you rank against your friends. Find your name highlighted on the leaderboard in the color according to your ranking.
Customize the difficulty of your playthrough. In nightmare mode, beware: the lights are out. Can you find anomalies in total darkness with your candle?
With a new challenge appearing every Friday, play a variation of the game with different environments and anomalies. Your score will go on the weekly leaderboard.

As far as Anomaly Hunting games go, this is one of my favorites! It has every flavor of Anomaly and really uses the space given! Silly, scary, cleaver, you name it this game most likely has it! Also, you can save a dog! Who doesn't love saving dogs?!
This anomaly game is based on the classic Exit 8 principle. The anomalies are rather subtle, which quickly makes you paranoid. However, there are also some larger and more creative ones. There are also 3 difficulty levels and the usability is very good overall. The leaderboards are a nice addition and provide more motivation to do well! Good for your quads and knees You know, classical anomaly game
ほぼ暗闇の難易度があって笑ってしまう。 犬ちゃんかわいい。
Great game! If you liked The Exit 8, you’ll love this. It follows the same loop-based horror genre perfectly. The graphics are beautiful and the optimization is surprisingly smooth. Highly recommended for fans of the genre.
I had a good time with this one and so far one of my favourite anomaly games. The anomalies were creative and I liked how the game kept making me question whether something had actually changed or if I was just going crazy. The difficulty curve was also decent. Normal mode felt like a good introduction, while Nightmare mode made things much more tense and changes harder to spot. It gave me a good reason to keep playing and pay attention to every little detail. Also, huge bonus points for the aquarium. I am a big fan. As a SharkGirl, I fully approve. 🦈 Overall, The Stairwell is a fun, atmospheric, and enjoyable anomaly game. Definitely worth checking out if you like games like this!
Even if jumpscares don’t scare you, turn off 'Screamers'. It’s REALLY scary
I'm kind of shocked this has so few plays and reviews. It's a shame We've played a decent amount of anomaly horror games on this channel but I really think this is one of the better ones. Nice but weird jumpscares, it's fun looking at the environment and props, it looks nice, you get to save a dog, and the increased difficulty options are really good as well Nightmare Mode is SUPER hard but I loved it when we eventually played it. Like I said, it's upsetting this game didn't pop off more for the devs. This is definitely one of the better iterations in the anomaly horror genre Here's my playthrough if you're interested https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzpOLb7Xipw
