The game has a really good plot twist, but there are details in the game development that makes me feel that the dev doesn't care about the game or the player's experience.
Big problems

Spoiler:
When you're hiding from the security, you're obligated to fail twice. You CAN'T hide on the sofa before being caught in the corridor and under the table.
Makes me feel that the game is trying to make me spend more time to not get a refund.
Spoiler:
The end where you kill Jiwoo is stupid. Not because of the story (I liked both endings), but because there's a flashy green bottle on the table that the player sees from the beginning. But the RIGHT "weapon" to use is a black wine bottle in a cellar in the wall (that I thought was just texture at first), that you almost never see because there's a table or a wall in front of it (depending on whether you're coming from the corrido or the living room). Again, it makes me feel that the game is trying to make the player spend more time trying to discover how to grab the green bottle (because it was SO flashy that I thought that was bugged or I was in the wrong position to grab it), and/or trying to find where the right "weapon" is. Maybe the dev knows that's a problem, since the Steam description says that you need to find a "weapon", and your character also says the same, even if it makes more sense to wait for the timer.

The rhythm mini-game is bad as hell. You need to use WASD when the buttons appear randomly on the screen (like OSU), but this style is not intuitive, and that's not fun to play it. Not counting that major buttons aren't in the music's rhythm (or appear even without any music at all). I know Sasaeng is a horror game, not a rhythm game, but if you'll put an obligatory rhythm mini-game, at least make it fun.
Jiwoo songs are AI and the dev don't make it clear. In the Steam description, it only says "AI was used for pre-rendered assets" without saying exactly what was made with it. And that's ok, I know that being an indie dev is hard, and AI can help to make the work faster, but at least make it clear for players. I hate it more when an AI user tries to pretend they didn't used it. I'm sure that Jiwoo's songs are made by AI because these songs don't exist in any place, only on Youtube, but referencing Sasaeng (so we can assume they were made for the game). But no one knows who the singer is, even though her voice is so beautiful and talented, and the game doesn't credit anyone for the music (only for background sounds). And I really tried to find any information saying that it was not AI, because I really liked Venomous and Burn Me Down. (I know there's people who don't care about it, but I think we can agree that's no reason to hide it from player who cares).

Minor problems

The models are ugly (I don't care about graphics, but some character looks like melted Play-Doh).
Some assets don't connect with each other (like misaligned walls with big spaces between them).
There's a character with no texture in his hair.
I was ready to ask for a refund, but the only reason I didn't make one is that I made a video about the game (as I said, I really liked the plot twist), and my viewers sent me money through my Sasaeng video. Since the video about the game paid for the game itself, I don't think that's fair to refund it. [strike]...And I don't wanna lose my Steam Points tbh[/strike] I really hope Jayhyeon makes better games in the future. I can see that they cared about the story details (
the Jiwoo trip to Japan, fans saying our face doesn't look like Jiwoo, the store lady treating us like someone who looks like Jiwoo instead of Jiwoo herself, our mom asking about our medicine
), but the gameplay is not good at all. I know that with more care, Jayhyeon can make an enjoyable game.
A real hidden gem, I loved the plot, especiallly the twist at the end, which i REALLY didn't see coming! Well worth the price, especially if you are a fan of indie horror games. The only part I didn't like was the rhythm game when practicing in the recording studio, but that could just be because I've never liked them :) Both endings were really good too, and worth making the effort to see.
