I've seen a lot of reviews about the game crashing. I have not had that problem. The only problems I have experienced have been trying to download mods. Plays just like I remember it and brings back good memories. Hope it helps (:
Runs fine for me on Linux, havent had a crash yet. Glad I can play this old game without all the hassle of getting it to run from the old discs.

Truely a masterpeace of a game that still holds up today, besides maybe the graphics. Runs really well and haven't run into any issues or crashes.

Sims 2 on Simsiä parhaimmillaan. Tällaista virtuaalielämän pitää olla - vanhanaikaista. Asiat hoidetaan postitse tai lankapuhelimella, joka löytyy käytävältä. Peli on hintansa väärti. Se toimii ongelmitta jopa Linux-koneella Protonin ansiosta. Lisäksi siinä on kaikki elementit kohdallaan. Kokoelma sisältää kaikki laajennukset (paitsi Ikea-kamasetin, jonka kuitenkin saa helposti lisättyä itse jälkikäteen). Ei siis tarvitse hankinnan jälkeen ostaa noin 200 erilaista pientä laajennusta. Myös lähes kaikki modit, joita netistä löytyy yhä runsaasti toimivat muutamaa poikkeusta lukuun ottamatta. Esimerkiksi Community Time Project, joka palauttaa yhteisötontilla käyvän simin oikeaan aikaan kotiin, ei valitettavasti tässä Legacy-versiossa toimi. Miinusta joudun antamaan siitä, että Steam Cloud ei ole pelissä käytössä (vaikka kauppasivulla mainitaan, että se olisi käytössä!) Tässä pelissä olisi erityisen hyödyllistä, että pelin tiedostot synkronoituisivat eri koneiden välillä, jotta samaa tallennusta pystyisi pelaamaan eri laitteilla, eikä tarvitsisi kikkailla backupien kanssa. Mutta kaipa sekin on sitä nostalgiaa. Kaiken kaikkiaan hyvä peli kuitenkin.
I put off buying this for awhile due to the reviews, but caved on it earlier today. I played for about 1.5hrs and it was perfectly fine and absolutely nostalgic. I have a higher end PC with windows 11, So my experience may be different from those with lower end engines.
I love playing sims 2. I love that the brought the game back so everyone can play it again. Its running smoothly on my laptop and no long waiting times. This is one of the best games of all time for me.
Un bon jeu. la date officiel des Sims 2 : 14 septembre 2004 j'avais 25 ans hé oui j'avais adoré la version N°2. C'étais complet à cette époque. C'étais le meilleur jeu de simulation depuis quelques années. C'étais le seule jeu qui reflété la vie réelle. Ensuite niveau gameplay, rien n'a changer, sauf les musique qui a été revisiter. Après rien à dire. Vous avez j'avais acheter le manuelle des Sims 2 pour bien construire et avoir tout les clés pour le jeu. J'aime toujours autant ce jeu malgré le temps qui passe. Acheter le ça vaux le coups.
