It's a very unqie game being weird and esotric with a rythem based combat that i havent really seen before. It's pretty good but it does have a few outstanding issues the combat inst very tough im not particually amazing at rythem but as long as I was half pay attention enemies litertally could not hit me unless there was a type of attack i exclipitly could not deal with because i didnt have the skill, the navigation is pretty poor. its very unclear where to go but you often run into paths you cant take and have to loop back around but tehre was a few times after the eye of the storm boss i think (which i did hitless) and i looked uo a guide only to find taht even in an edited down guide video there was hlaf an hour of walking around trying to figure out where to go, perhpas its an issue with the video but past that boss is another area where you run into enemies with attacks you cant deal with and it becomes very confusing having to look around through every past area. I didnt end up finding where to go but i do think if you know ahead of time its a bit of a where do you go kinda game it probably isnt so bad. It's still a very very fun game and I would recommened it to pretty much anyone whos either really into indies or a casual gamer.
This game is a love letter to the metroidvania genre, and gaming as a whole. It's very well designed, and worth your time. Unique combat mechanics, with some customization options allow for some player agency to make combat even more enjoyable. Speaking of which, each enemy is unique in it's combat design as well as appearance. The different enemy types with unique attack patters and vulnerabilities keeps combat fresh and keeps the player on their toes, with a variety of attack patterns from every enemy. Boss encounters and major milestones are memorable and well executed. All the NPCs you encounter are pleasant and add to the experience, with optional content or just conversation. I'm just scratching the surface of the metroidvania aspect now that I've spent enough time, and it's done really well. This hidden gem is worth the money. I hope this gets the attention it deserves.
You know that game that takes you by surprise? Shaman's Ark did that for me in spades. Before I knew it I was immersed amd didn't want to put it down. The story telling is great, the gameplay addictive, and the exploration made me want to search every nook and cranny. I had way more fun playing this than I expected, and probably more than most other indie games I played this year. *side note, the devs were generously communicative and made patches immediately after I asked about something - never before has that happened to me. Amazing.
I'm having a great time with the game so far! I love how it's like Paper Mario, Hollow Knight, and a Hatsune Miku rhythm game all got thrown into a blender and this game was the result. The world is interesting and the unique combat is really fun and engaging. I'll definitely keep playing!
This game is pretty fire. The rhythm based combat is incredible. The art is gorgeous. The biomes are unique. The story is solid. There are 3 different endings to unlock. I was really impressed by this game. My only complaint is that there is a missable boss and missable collectibles which shouldnt be a thing in a metroidvania. Besides that this is a must play.
Really cool soulse like metroidvania ! Interesting world and charming art ! good job
Не фанат таких ігор, але бачу що гра зроблена з душею тому варто хоча б її купити щоб підтримати розробника і він продовжував ТВОРИТИ!
I rarely write reviews, but when I do I really think it was worth my time and money. This one definately isone of the hidden gems, especially considering it's low price. Unique combination of rhythm game and metroidvania with minimal bugs (opposite to many AAA releases). Perfect length and lot's of biomes with quests and secrets to explore. If you can imagine yourself enjoying metroidvania with guitar hero twist, this is a must pick.
On steam deck drops of fps. Not optimized for deck players. Played a bit and the game is and definitely is not my cup of tea.
