Surpisingly fun and the actors did a decent job. Well done!
그냥 머.. 그래서 뭔데. 그래서 뭔데. 하다 끗..
I see no way to review this without the honesty that goes with it. ** SPOILERS AHEAD ** Stop reading now if you don't want any indication of what I'm about to say. I won't say the exact details, but I will say my feelings about what the creators did here. The game description: "An FMV horror-thriller. A famous fitness influencer must fight for survival when she's hunted by killers. Your decisions determine whether she lives or dies." This is the oldest professional writing rule broken. (You never break your promise to the audience.) The premise, the promise with the audience, is a complete lie. That not only lost my trust in this game, it also has lost it for any future games from this developer. I won't say how this is a lie, because that's for you to find out. Another aspect that I didn't like is that literally every decision was not nuanced at all. It was pretty clear one way or the other every time. Also there should have been more choices. Literally every choice that is made in character should have been able to be made. Like when Miri asks if you want route guidance... that's kind of an important choice that you never get to make. And I always Identify as the main character that I choose to play. So when a secondary character dies, and it says, You Die, that's also a lie to me. That said, overall it was a good game for what it was, but I don't appreciate that lie in the premise. A more honest premise could have been: An FMV horror-thriller. A famous fitness influencer must fight for her fate when she's hunted by killers. Also there's no backstory provided beyond that she just is a fitness influencer, for me to have any real reason to believe that she has the sin suggested by the writing. Every step of the journey doing the right thing is natural, and the way it's written you'd have to be a very ugly person to just not do those things. Sadly, with the way the US is currently, I can't say that writing is too far off; but not everyone is that way. And at the same time I do understand that the author has good reason to believe that many people are just awful people. I did enjoy playing it. And if it wasn't for the promise broken, I'd recommend it. Because the premise is a lie, I purchased the game expecting an entirely different experience than the one deceptively supplied. I don't have an issue with the one supplied, but I do take an issue that you lied to deceptively get a purchase I would have not made had the premise been honest. There is one scene where you speak through the phone with a child. The only problem with that is that the person you're talking with is clearly not a child. They look mid thirties or forties. Young man would have been a better line, since they are clearly not a child. Or use an eighteen year old actor to play the part better. There are many bad choices in this development.

The Run is an interactive FMV horror-thriller where you play as Zanna, a famous fitness influencer who we soon discover is in grave danger on her trip to the Northern Italy. It's an okay experience for £10 but I wouldn't touch it for that price. If you're a fan of FMV's but it being so short and lacking that umpf you're looking for doesn't feel worth the money. I'd give it a 5/10 and a "meh" review if Steam allowed. Spoilers are present in this review. Lasting impressions: - The music is poorly balanced with the volume of it drowning out the character's speech - Sex is mentioned far too often and with often rapey vibes, is REALLY off-putting. - The dialogues were often awkward and rough around the edges when making decisions. Pauses too long or mood not matching.
Zanna wasn't a nice character to begin with and that's definitely intentional with her 'sin' as a selfish brat, although while she had her running flashbacks I didn't think her choice was selfish. She was bullied by those girls despite her kindness which ultimately lead to her leaving asthma girl behind. While I certainly didn't see it coming, the ending felt abrupt as if the lead up was all for nothing. There was no ceremonial defeating the bad guys. It was 'I found a church- oh we're actually dead- well I'll be damned'.
Seeing the statistics in the end shows there's lots of forking paths you can make along the way to change your story outcome *slightly*. There is 20 unique deaths and 5 endings... and many Zanna deaths for your eyes to bear witness to. I don't want to play it again, I don't see a replayability and with how long each scene takes with no skipping or fast-forwarding I see myself uninstalling and not touching this game again. Playing it with a group watching is a benefit one should not overlook, I had two watching and we were enjoying making terrible decisions like:
"let's sacrifice a child"
I couldn't imagine playing this alone would be very enjoyable, at least for me I probably would've zoned out. We did have timed decisions off which gave us time to make jokes about the bad acting during certain scenes and plot armour that Zanna had. It isn't the worst and it's certainly not the best, but for the price I'd say it's a good tree to bark at.

WEB REVIEW - https://solo-save.com/2026/05/05/the-run/ FULL GAME - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkaAaYGU3CA CURATOR - https://store.steampowered.com/curator/44944862/ -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 📘 Story: You follow Zanna Hendricks, a world-famous fitness influencer who heads to a remote trail in Northern Italy to celebrate a career milestone, only for things to spiral almost immediately into a full-blown nightmare. What starts as a peaceful run quickly turns into a desperate fight for survival as she’s hunted by masked killers across the wilderness. The plot itself is fairly straightforward. It’s a classic survival-thriller setup without a huge amount of narrative depth beneath the surface. The intrigue mainly comes from the branching paths and the tension of not knowing which decisions will keep her alive. The pacing is alright and somewhat stressful, timed choices force you to act quickly enough. Even with the strong acting, there are also some questionable, immersion-breaking moments. For example, there are scenes where, in the middle of a life-or-death situation, like someone being killed, the main character casually pulls out her phone to vlog. It feels completely unrealistic and clashes with the otherwise grounded performances, taking you out of the moment more than it should. The ending has a Unexpected Twist that i havnt seen in any other FMV games until now, and that might have been the best part of the story, at least for me. Overall its an ok story, but nothing to write home about. 🎧 Sound: The audio in The Run is one of the areas where it genuinely stands out from the usual FMV crowd. A lot of games in this genre tend to feel a bit cheap on the sound side, but here it’s clear there’s been extra care put into both the music and performances. The music is really well done, striking that sweet spot between subtle and tense. It doesn’t constantly demand your attention, but it quietly builds pressure in the background and ramps up exactly when it needs to. FMV games often struggle with awkward or over the top performances, but The Run is noticeably a step above that. The performances feel natural and grounded, and they do a lot to sell the story and what’s happening on screen. The acting is actually consistent and pretty on-point with decent characters that avoid the usual over the top FMV cheesiness. Overall, The Run delivers a surprisingly polished sound experience: great music, genuinely strong performances, and enough attention to detail to make the scenes good. ❔ Choice matters: On paper, this is a classic choice-driven FMV setup: you’re constantly presented with decisions that determine whether Zanna lives or dies. And to be fair, those decisions do carry immediate weight. Pick wrong, and you’ll often be met with a sudden (and sometimes brutal) death, forcing a retry. Many of these moments are intentionally high-pressure and unclear, with simple prompts like “left or right” or “fight or run,” where there’s no obvious correct answer. The issue is that almost all of these choices boil down to A or B decisions, and most of them only affect the immediate outcome rather than the overall story. Yes, they decide if you survive the moment—but they rarely shape the narrative in a meaningful, long-term way. The game does have branching paths and multiple endings, but moment-to-moment it often feels less like you’re crafting a story and more like you’re just trying to avoid the “wrong” option. That’s where it falls a bit short for the genre. In choice-driven games, consequences are the backbone of the genre and the idea that your decisions ripple outward, changing characters, relationships, and the direction of the story. Here, the consequences are mostly binary: live or die. And while that works for tension, it’s not quite enough to make the system feel deep or especially impactful. Overall, the choice system is functional and keeps the pressure high, but it doesn’t fully deliver on the promise of meaningful player agency. It’s engaging in the moment but if you’re looking for choices that truly shape the story, this might feel a little too shallow. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🏆 Overall: ( 6 / 10 ) The Run ends up being a bit of a mixed experience. On one hand, it clearly does a lot right for a FMV game. The acting is genuinely good, standing above the usual standard for the genre, and it helps carry a lot of the tension throughout. The music and overall sound design are also strong, doing a great job of building atmosphere without feeling overbearing. Together, those elements give the game a solid cinematic feel that’s easy to get pulled into. The story, though, is just okay. It works well enough as a setup for a survival thriller, but it doesn’t go much deeper than that. It keeps things moving and gives context to what’s happening, but it’s not something you’ll find especially memorable once it’s over Where the game really falls flat is in its choice system, which should be the backbone of this kind of experience. Most decisions come down to simple A-or-B options that determine whether you live or die in the moment, but they rarely shape the story in any meaningful way. Because of that, it can start to feel less like you’re influencing a narrative and more like you’re just trying to avoid failure states. Overall, The Run is a decent FMV thriller with good performances and solid audio, but it struggles where it matters most for the genre. If you’re here for tension and a cinematic experience, it delivers—but if you’re expecting meaningful choices and a believable narrative throughout, it doesn’t quite stick the landing.
jeu tres sympa
alcune scelte sono abbastanza insensate e ti fanno morire in maniera molto randomica ma ho apprezzato la cinematicità di tutta l'opera e il fatto che puoi scegliere molte opzioni diverse... tuttavia una run per me basta e avanza.
