A genealogical mystery straight out of 1998. Scour the early Internet for clues, uncover hidden connections, and piece together the family tree behind the secretive Roottree Corporation.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 8.14/day in the week to Aug 19 → 24.57/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The year is 1998. A private jet belonging to the Roottree Corporation has crashed. On it were the Roottree Sisters and their parents. Combined, they were worth over a billion dollars.
Now, due to the eccentricities of their great-great-grandfather Elias, their money must be redistributed to the rest of the family. But who's actually a BLOOD RELATIVE? That's where you come in.
Armed only with the power of your mighty dial-up modem, you'll scour for photos, books, articles and other evidence. Then, you'll make connections and deductions based on the family relationships you uncover. With every spot on the tree you fill in correctly, the names and photos left in your possession will have fewer and fewer places to go — but the evidence will also be harder and more obscure to find.
Can you put together the final pieces of the puzzle?

A 3D living-room perspective that ties together all the unique puzzle systems
An enhanced user interface with many quality of life improvements to make your mystery solving easier to use and more intuitive
Remastered music and sound effects, with fully voiced cinematics.
A handful of Easter eggs and little touches for those who can't get enough of the late ‘90s charm
Includes "Roottreemania", a brand new mystery
Find out what happens to the Roottree family following the events of the base game.
A whole new family tree to complete!
Discover the scandals, lies, and infidelities that took place behind the scenes of America's largest maple candy empire.

Came back to this after Incident at Galley House and realized I never played the follow up or got all the achievements. Started fresh and went through the whole thing again and it was so worth it, even though I had played the main story once already. I found even more little hints and fun things on the computer I missed the first time. Definitely worth a play if you like these kinds of games. In my top 10 for sure.
好玩的钥匙,游戏时长说明一切 确实没啥宏大格局但爱搞这种家族八卦的会非常喜欢 重金求一个没玩过的脑子。好想失忆再打一遍。
This was so well made and written. I didn't expect to like it because it's not an art style I'm usually fond of, but the overwhelmingly positive reviews sold me on it and I'm so glad I bought it. I had so much fun playing this game.
A mystery puzzle with very simple mechanisms, executed brilliantly. The emergent storytelling is brilliant. Looking forward to more games from this dev!
I dunno man, seems like they're mostly alive to me
Mildly addictive gameplay. Kept going and going and found it difficult to stop. The UI and the 1998 setting was quite pleasant to utilize. The game gets pretty difficult towards the end, but it's really just a matter of nitpicking and being thorough. Planning on playing The Incident at Galley House too, possibly!

Super chill and fun. Kept me hooked staying up late to figure out more of the mystery. Didn't feel like it was taking too long or too short of a time which is rare for mystery puzzle games.
