Confidential Killings - A Detective Game

Good idea but execution needs improvement. Writing is okay but mostly too easy. These are my main gripes: - Each case I had to enter the same names for the same characters - Sometimes told in dialogue by a character exactly what happened and then enter that exact information in the puzzle almost word for word - Interface made solving the case feel tedious

A good detective game in the vein of the Golden Idol games or Return of the Obra Dinn, though I would say the cases in this game are much easier. I enjoyed the setting, artwork and overarching story. I'd like to see some additional difficulty in future games but this was fun and interesting for a few hours.

Dollar store golden idol. It's just okay, and not bad, but I don't feel like I can recommend it. I wouldn't mind at all that it's so similar to the Golden Idol games if it didn't feel like such a knock-off. The writing and art is just okay. The mysteries are all solvable but often only really make sense on the surface. The game is littered with little errors and inconsistencies that don't ruin the experience individually but when all added up make it feel like rushed slop. Despite being set in and about Hollywood the mystery is centered around a stage play. But for some reason the game keeps referring to the stage play script as a screenplay, and continues to call it a screenplay even though everything else refers to the production as stage play. There's also an issue with the murders themselves not quite adding up with the solution you're supposed to find. Minor spoiler here: there's one where the murder victim wasn't actually the intended victim and was killed by accident because the murder weapon (disguised a stage prop) was delivered to the wrong person. The problem? They included the "screenplay" as a clue as well as the blocking for the scene and neither of these would provide an accident that would've killed the actual intended target. The scene unfolded exactly as scripted. At no point was there anything that would've actually led to the intended victims death. So how was that planned murder supposed to work exactly? Some of the other murders also have issues with accounting for peoples movements during and after the murder occurs. I mean you're supposed to be thinking these things through to solve the murder but it doesn't matter I guess as long as it's neither the perp or the victim. At least the game doesn't seem to think so anyway.

30r买的5h就通关这正常吗？唯一难度就是寻找中文翻译和我对用词的理解偏差。明明已经知道真相了，但是就要找哪个词没用对。最离谱的就是并非“破坏了他与妻子的婚姻”，而是“破坏了他与演员的婚姻”，都后缀写婚姻了，翻译你会说中文吗？

4.2h全成就，评价是：抄金偶像也抄不明白 画风不错加一星，手绘风很好看；推理加一星，整体中规中矩；细节加一星，打完后前面的一些小细节恍然大悟 然后，故事非常平淡，娱乐圈金偶像然而八卦气息淡到几乎没有，情节老套还没我大姨讲的村口八卦精彩，原价74的定价配这个体量也太张狂了吧，即使我48拿下对比同档次也很不值 信息搜集系统槽多无口，同样的词只有在特定文件里才能收集，换个人说出来就标记不了，咋滴你妈在客厅就是你妈，你妈在姥姥家就不是你妈了？对比金偶像又拉了一大截 最后就是主创团队大概小时候没吃过奶喝二鹿奶粉长大的，整部游戏是个女的就要怼个胸上来，除了一个残疾女人穿的还算得体，但是尊重残疾人是底线不算加分项吧？只能说有点类人但不多 评分2/5

I wouldn't recommend this game. A bit cliche in its story and characters and not in a fun way, and often the mechanics hinder you in ways that feel artificial.

操作能不能别这么蛋疼，人名都补完了，案件里明显填人名的地方就不能直接选人吗，非得名和姓从几十个一样的颜色的词里重新选一遍。 不小心点到选好的还会直接消失变空白得重新选。 没看出本格在哪，可能我玩的推理游戏不多，反正我全程在揣摩出题者意图+暴力枚举。

Loved the game! And I would definitely recommend people to play it, I feel like it deserves more attention that it currently is getting. A lot of comments compared this game to the case of the Golden Idol, which annoys me a bit. Yes the puzzle mechanic is very similar, I do feel like this game does it in a completely different way though. I also don't want the precedent that all games that have the word searching mechanic are Golden Idol copycats. Cause I really enjoy that mechanic and want more games like that lol so let's try to judge them as their own entities. One of the biggest attractions of this game to me are the storyline and art direction. The puzzles themselves aren't the most difficult (saying that I did have to look up how to solve something once, I couldn't find the last piece of information), but the story really grips you. The ending was quite sad due to that since you do really start to connect with the characters, but the epic finale was worth it in the end. Really really well done. The art style and music set the tone mysterious tone for the game, absolutely love the impact of lighting and specific angles in their story telling. With all this said, the game really is on the short side. Definitely looking forward to what the developers do next, whether that DLCs or another game. Take my money and tell me more stories goddаmit! Anyway, thank you for this game. It's awesome!

Перевод сделан отвратительно. Игра запустилась на русском языке, затем при выборе Новой игры, я выбрал английский. В результате у меня половина терминов на русском, половина - на английском. Довольно плохонькая поделка. Golden Idol в сто раз круче.
