Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 8.14/day in the week to Aug 19 → 24.57/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The year is 1998. A private jet belonging to the Roottree Corporation has crashed. On it were the Roottree Sisters and their parents. Combined, they were worth over a billion dollars.
Now, due to the eccentricities of their great-great-grandfather Elias, their money must be redistributed to the rest of the family. But who's actually a BLOOD RELATIVE? That's where you come in.
Armed only with the power of your mighty dial-up modem, you'll scour for photos, books, articles and other evidence. Then, you'll make connections and deductions based on the family relationships you uncover. With every spot on the tree you fill in correctly, the names and photos left in your possession will have fewer and fewer places to go — but the evidence will also be harder and more obscure to find.
Can you put together the final pieces of the puzzle?

The main game: A really enjoyable puzzle experience that really nails the feel of uncovering what's going on in the family. Extremely well put mechanically where uncovering information feels natural and rewarding to do, while the tree itself is wide yet interconnected so that if you do get stuck on one connection you can always move to a different segment and come back later. However the mini-DLC Roottreemania is sadly a lesser item. It takes place following the main game and it's very noticeable it's trying to fit on top of and around the existing family tree in a way that makes a lot of "hints" and trials obtusely hard to discover, to the point I did have to use both the in-game hints mechanic and eventually outside walkthrough that I never found the need to touch (outside one specific character detail even the game admits is probably the hardest to find) during the main campaign. Even if the second mystery isn't as good game mechanics-wise I really enjoyed the writing still, which was excellent across both options. Overall a very good mystery/puzzle game if let down in the DLC with its increasing obtuseness.

Absolutely loved it, reminded me of my innocent youth when we only had dial-up internet!
3 of us played this game on the TV over 2 days (~9h total). Lots of fun, though getting the final set of clues was a bit of a grind (maybe ~1-2 hours). The hint system was very nice for us, it helped us narrow down our search without making the answer super obvious. Some of the clues to solve were more on the challenging side and I don't think we would have gotten them without the hint. For maybe 6 clues we came back and used hints after finishing the game.
Both of their games (Roottree and Galley House) are incredible! It's not just find the objects to be used to solve a problem but this is a whole new universe and mechanic.
marevelous debut. But yeah, some unresolved connections that I had in the end felt like they didn't have enough alternative / additional options and like one and only lead and it didn't work quite well for pacing But still really cozy and enjoyable experience and brilliant execution for detective genre after Obra-Dinn. Though, main plot is not that fun story-wise and I had some technical issues with save files, but game did everything right to keep me engaged and interested for 8 hours straight 7.5/10
