Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 4.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Fantastic little game. Feels like a modern take on an old school style and it's done really well.

very fun game!
75% + Fun story, with a nice progression + Unique gun-play and action gameplay + Driving/Chases are thoroughly enjoyable + World design and graphics are impressive + Great soundtrack and sound design - Day-to-day tasks can feel repetitive - Not enough gun sequences or mission set-pieces - Cutscenes don't use the overworld - Performance can be reduced under certain weather conditions
The Precinct is an absolute hidden gem among police sims. Partly I think, it's because it falls into a few different genres easily including RPG, Sim and action/adventure. I am currently 14 hours in as of writing this and I THINK I am getting near the ending of the story, but there is still a ton of activities and things to do to keep me entertained for hours more. I am sort of purposely prolonging the ending until I have unlocked a few more in-game items and vehicles. I came along "The Precinct" basically on accident while browsing through police sims. Among the few titles I have, I put this one firmly at the top even though it isn't strictly a sim title. It isn't as monotonous as a straight up sim such as "Police Simulator" which gets pretty boring very quickly but it also keeps enough of the procedural and "realism" of a police officers day to day. It adds just enough action such as shoot-outs, car chases, detective work, and various shift's to chose from that it keeps the game going at a fast pace and keeps things exciting! I feel that some of the negative reviews are from people who were expecting a straight-up police sim game, which this is not. It doesn't really fit into one genre or category neatly, which is something I didn't know that I would end up liking the most about the game! The art style is phenomenal, even though it's out of the norm for me! I quickly fell in love with the aesthetic of the entire game. It's like a hand drawn type art, but I am not sure if it actually is or not. It has an overall "dark" aesthetic, or kind of reminds me of a "Gotham City". Speaking of which, the city is apparently riddled with crime :P The controls are simple and easy to grasp. I play using a Bluetooth Xbox style controller on my PC, which I feel would be the best way to play it. I haven't come across many bugs at all while playing so far, certainly not anything game breaking. I've seen other reviews complain about the AI in the game but I honestly don't see the issues other mention. Occasionally the NPC AI may do something stupid, make silly decisions or take a cracked out action but I can usually just laugh it off. It could be that a lot of it has been improved during more recent updates and bug fixes, I'm not sure. A really fun aspect of the game is the ability to chose your partner (if you want one) at the start of each shift. As soon as I progressed to the point that I unlocked the police K-9, I have not gone back to a human partner since! The K-9 has great AI and it's a lot of fun giving commands and watching him/her follow through. Something as simple as telling the K-9 to sniff things out, pretty much aways leads to some fun and an arrest or two for drugs and/or weapons. To wrap this review up, I will say that if you are on the fence about buying the game like I was, I advise you to BUY IT! It has been a lot of fun so far for me and I am so glad I bought it! It's a game that I can sit down and play for just a few minutes, doing a shift or two OR I could sit down and literally play for hours on end! If I was to make just one recommendation to improve the game, it would be to add on to the voice acting and use more voice actors for all the dialogue. The little bit that IS in the game is well done, I just wish it was taken farther. ART/GRAPHICS: 9/10 STORY: 7/10 CONTROLS: 10/10 VALUE: 9/10
