Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2/day in the week to Aug 7 → 2.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I hate giving Plucky Squire a negative review because it's clearly been built with an incredible amount of care and artistry, but this is a game built for young children. It's very linear and simple, with a boiler plate story. None of its elements are bad, but unless you're buying it for your little ones I don't think it's going to hold your attention. I got 2 hours in over multiple play sessions and I was really stretching the limits of my hospitality for this one.

The Plucky Squire is a colorful, eternally slow movie that likes to mistake itself as a game, since sometimes you have to whack some enemies and jump on a few platforms. "Gameplay" is absurdly repetitive and limited but you don't exactly mind since there's a painfully long dialogue or cutscene every five f*cking seconds. This thing is so slow I dropped it twice mid run, decided to finish it and fast forwarded all the story cause I couldn't care for it anymore, I wanted to play a game but I was literally stopped from doing anything every ten steps cause there was a three minutes dialogue or an awfully long cutscene. Also, there's no skipping dialogues and cutscenes, you just have to bear with the animations and the fast forward button is not really fast anyway. I finally managed to finish this f*cking thing and I immediately uninstalled it cause I don't want to see it in my library ever again. It's a shame cause the concept is nice, the thing is colorful and the art is cute and humorous but the experience is too painful to let me recommend it to anyone.
Played this with the “Streamlined Mode” added a few months after launch that cuts down on dialogue and tutorials, for whatever that’s worth. Definitely carried by its art direction and premise much more so than it is by its gameplay, but that art is so charming! And the transitions between 2D and 3D manage not to get old. A few of the minigames are clunkers, and it could have done more mechanically with its premise than it does, but I still enjoyed most of my time with it.
I wanted to love this game, but instead I "only" like it as I feel like it's held back by it's gameplay. The 2D art and animations are some of the most visually appealing and charming I've seen this year. The story literally being told in the form of a storybook you're walking through the pages of is wonderfully creative. The meta way of literally flipping pages and moving words and items through pages as you progress through the story was fantastic. I liked that they played around with multiple gameplay styles/genres at times, but I often felt like the mechanics were slightly undercooked. The 2D storybook sections you're walking around in it were definitely the highlights, but you only do that for roughly half the game, and even then, the combat is mostly just ok. The 3D sections were serviceable, but a bit too simplistic imo. The gameplay rarely bored, but also rarely wowed me. I played on the Challenge difficulty, which felt good, outside of a couple tanky enemies. Though the mini-games on this difficulty felt a bit overtuned. The checkpoint system didn't help either as if you lost, you'd be reset to the start of encounters on longer combats, often repeating dialogue. I wish the devs had taken bigger swings at some parts. Like being allowed to mess around with the words and changing more than a few objects here and there, and some more meaningful interactions between 2D and 3D. I was sad that the storybook parts are almost completely separate from the 3D sections, outside of a few puzzles that required you to jump in and out. I believe that if a sequel is made, they can trim parts that felt a little slow, and flesh out many mechanics, there is definitely something here! Plucky Squire was still an enjoyable time and I do recommend it (maybe on a sale). I just wouldn't go into the game expecting super deep mechanics or too challenging gameplay, but it will still offer great visuals, fun characters, and a good time.
I should love this game. It looks incredible, has great music and some really fun moments using interesting mechanics. Jumping between the book and outside world to get new powers and solve puzzles was a lot of fun. The platforming sections out on the desk were probably the highlight of the game, along with the last 'dungeon' and final boss. However, I doubt I'll play it ever again. There were numerous frustrations that nearly made me drop the game. I played on challenge mode and didn't realise this was added to the game in an update long after release. The combat was basic but fine, however challenge mode throws so many enemies at you it can be frustrating especially with only 3 health segments. This is especially annoying early on when you haven't unlocked many attacks. It doesn't help that in certain fights, the game will re-spawn you right by an enemy mid-attack or a bomb as it goes off. There are also several sections where if you die, you go back to the beginning of the room and have to go through the same initial dialogue each time. You can fast forward the dialogue but this is only a bit faster - it should be skippable. I can't imagine how bad the hand-holding was before the challenge mode update. At times it feels like the game stops you on every new screen with some asinine dialogue or a needless explanation of the obvious puzzle in front of you. This did seem to get better as the game went on but really brought down several chapters initially. I see the mini games are pretty divisive and I found them mixed. Some like the twin-stick shooter game were awesome, then others like the archery were awful with bad controls. I'm glad I overlooked the stop-starting pace to actually finish the game though, because the last 2-3 hours were easily the most enjoyable. There's very little assistance with the puzzles (unless you ask the hint statues) and with all the different sword attacks unlocked the combat becomes much more enjoyable. I didn't encounter many bugs like others seem to, but there were 2 bad ones during the final boss. During the last phase, I had the boss down to the last sliver of health, when suddenly the screen turned black and I was taken back to the beginning as if it's died...except I had full health! Worse still was just after beating the boss, where you're supposed to gain control over your character after a cutscene. Instead my character collapsed (an animation I'd not seen before during the game), could only be moved forward by sword strikes, and eventually stopped responding to any inputs. I had to reload the game, which took me back to before the final boss! Thankfully it was pretty easy or I wouldn't have bothered. Overall it's a good but flawed game. If it wasn't for the charming graphics I'd probably have dropped it sooner. I was torn on whether or not to recommend but I'd say it's worth playing if you get it heavily discounted.
