About
On Sunday the 7th of March, 1936, a group of locals made their way up the long, muddy track to Galley House. As far as any of them knew, the house had stood empty for decades.
Inside, they discovered the bloody aftermath of something horrific.
The authorities were summoned, and the crime scene was eventually cleared away. But nobody ever figured out what happened that dreadful night. It seemed likely that no one ever would.
Now, many years later, you have access to a peculiar machine — one that lets you listen in on echoes of the past. Can you piece together the events behind The Incident at Galley House?

After the Roottrees Are Dead and the Return of the Obra Dinn I had a feeling of emptiness. This did it again! I just want to forget it so I could play it again! Loooved it so much! Definitely give it a go if you liked those other two!
As a big fan of deduction games I of course had to get this one as well. The basic gameplay loop works well enough, but I'm afraid the story didn't click with me at all with this one. Of course, developments late in the story make it clear why everyone is acting so strangely, but by the time I found out what was happening, I was long past caring for the characters. The basic conceit of the story just makes too little sense for too long (staying quite general to avoid spoilers). I appreciate what the devs were trying to do, but it takes too long to get going and then I just wanted it to be over.
Just finished this, straight after the release. Great deductive puzzle/ fake-os puzzle game, but it not a full replacement for the original game Type Help. About 2h of new content after "" completing "" the case. Difficulty: Easier than base-game The Roottrees are Dead or Return of the Obra Dinn . You can brute-force some parts, tho. The new content does have a few tricks up the sleeve, still no Rootmania. Opinion: Sure, they raise the production value by having a soundtrack, actual graphics and voice-acting BUT i miss typing command and how dinky but snappy the terminal was. Here the UI feels a bit toy-ish. Also, a bit disappointed that the new content was that ... compact. A nice challenge tho. Overall, an improved version but I miss the feel of the OG. Deductice Puzzle enjoys should buy it.
As far as I’m aware this is a remake of an itch.io game called Type Help, not sure how different this is in comparison to the original version but I really enjoyed it. Piecing together a timeline with memory scenes to deduce the identities of each character and their involvement in increasingly strange events had me pretty hooked, enough to play through most of it in a single sitting. I do think as a deduction game it’s not really as complex or varied as The Roottrees Are Dead was, and the way the mystery unfolds felt less like building up to a surprising twist and was more of a family tragedy. But I think it worked for me, and the story has surprisingly good voice acting to back it up
