So far as someone that has played New Vegas its not a bad game, some elements of the game are fun like getting the Chimera Suit and the Top hat is fun and the science weapons are fun. but its a tad tedious at times and imo feels like some of the choices and quests are kinda eh? Overall I would say its more of a 8/10 game despite being a Bethesda fan, I like Obsidian as well and wish them well and glad they are working with Bethesda on a Fallout game.

its a good rpg, think fallout but your choices and reputation does matter for the outcome. And being "good" takes effort, nicely done.

Much of the role playing in the game comes through dialogue choices rather than direct playable character design choices. For roleplaying and lore reasons, I would suggest investing heavily in dialog skills (primarily persuade) and hack/lock pick. Long guns/heavy are for sure the best weapon class. Science Weapons are fun. Post 2.5.8.1. The current patch actually allows you to use almost any gun for your whole playthrough without it costing a million bits. Character design is a very solid 6/10. Nothing much to write home about. You can stumble backwards into being strong. Much of the story is told through terminals. However, the ending feels incredibly awkward. It seems like they wanted to do more. 6/10 I do believe the DLCs title does the heavy lifting. Murder on Eridanos is geniunely one of the best DLCs ive played for these sorts of games. They took a lot of inspiration and it feels like you are playing Clue. A lot of lore is present for the Peril on Gorgon. 8/10 I would argue that this sort of open world, but linear story is genuinely what makes this game above average. You get rewarded for exploring. Overall, a 7.5/10 experience for me. If you play spacers choice edition, make sure to quick save frequently because there is a bug where NPCs will fall through the floor. Quick save, reload. They wont do it anymore. I have not found a mod with this fix.
