It is one of the funniest games I've played in a long time! The game is full of British humor, thick Yorkshire accents, silly jokes, visual gags, and witty dialogue. Almost every person you meet says something ridiculous, and almost everything you interact with has a funny reaction. I ended up smacking every box, trash can, sign, and random object I saw just because I wanted to find out what would happen. The town is filled with weird but lovable characters. Instead of going on some epic adventure, you're helping people with the most ridiculous problems. One minute you're "cleaning" a shop by making an even bigger mess, and the next you're running around causing chaos without even realizing it. Every new task is more absurd than the last, and that's what makes the game so entertaining. And the hand-drawn art style is beautiful, and every area is packed with small details. I loved exploring every corner because there was almost always another joke or funny surprise waiting for me. The gameplay is simple, you explore, solve light puzzles, and interact with everything around you. It's easy to pick up, and the focus is on having fun rather than providing a difficult challenge. If you enjoy silly humor, exploring every corner, and laughing at unexpected moments, I highly recommend giving it a try!

[h1]精美包装下的一场“游戏”骗局[/h1] 内容很短，很明显“贵”但是配音很有特点，音乐有一种非常滑稽的风格，符合游戏黑色幽默的设定 里面很多笑点其实不太符合国内宝宝的体质，可能是我美剧美漫看得多真的有不少笑话能gat到（笑） [u] 全成就大概4小时就能打完（提示：通关不能继续游玩）[/u] 玩法简单到有些离谱：你扮演一个沉默寡言、身高还会忽大忽小的黄色小人，在一个巴恩斯沃斯的英国小镇里结局各种问题 游戏的视觉风格很值得一提，精致的手绘复古美漫风橡皮管动画，搭配上复古滤镜，把英格兰北部那个虚构小镇描绘得非常棒（画风第一眼很吸引我） 这游戏在荒诞搞笑的外壳下还藏了点东西。表面上你是个热心肠的外来推销员，帮镇民干这干那；实际上你走到哪儿砸到哪儿，简直就是“小镇破坏王”。游戏通过这种反差，讽刺了镇民们的“摆烂”心态，甚至隐隐透出对底层打工人处境的某种关照。或许更像是《南方公园》？——混乱邪恶，但又不失童趣 [hr][/hr] 当然，夸归夸，真上手玩起来，你就得面对一个尴尬的现实：这游戏真的没什么“玩”头。 所谓的“玩法”，几乎只有跳跃和捶打两招。接任务→找到目标→捶一下→任务完成，循环往复。没有失败条件，没有操作难度，甚至没有解谜——你根本不需要动脑子，只需要在小镇里来回跑腿，看见谁就去锤谁。两个小时下来，你的大拇指按攻击键的次数可能比大脑转动的次数还多。 把“互动”压到了最低限度，把“演出”推到了最高处。与其说这是一款游戏，不如说它是一部可操控视角的英国动画片。你扮演的那个黄色小人，本质上只是个“翻页器”——你每捶一下，剧情就往前走一格。整个体验像极了小时候看互动绘本，你负责翻页，故事自己往下讲。 所以，如果你抱着“玩”的心态来，大概率会失望。没有任何挑战性，没有成长系统，没有分支剧情，甚至连跑路都慢吞吞。全成就要四小时，但其中三小时都在走路和听对话。很多玩家通关后的第一反应不是“好玩”，而是“看完了”——就像刚 binge-watch 完一季动画。 [hr][/hr] 所以我的最终建议是：[b]云通关优先，打折再考虑入手。 如果你是对英国文化、黑色幽默、荒诞动画有深厚感情的人，花这个钱买一份“可交互的喜剧短片”也不算亏。[/b]但如果你只是想找个“好玩”的游戏打发时间，那还是把预算留给别家吧。毕竟——它贵是真的贵，短是真的短，无聊也是真的无聊。只是这份无聊，恰好被精心包装成了一场视听盛宴罢了。

Not crazy about the humor or writing, but there's so much charm and the animation + general feel is FANTASTIC.

Wow! What an incredible game. Thank Goodness You’re Here! achieves exactly what it sets out to do. It’s perfectly absurd from start to finish, with fantastic art direction and phenomenal slapstick comedy. It never overstays its welcome, never loses its momentum, and commits wholeheartedly. I cannot recommend it enough!!

Amazing game but there are two things you need to know going in. You need to enjoy British humour and don't watch anyone else play this game before going in, since besides a few achievements it has very low replayability..

This is one of the best cooky UK representing game for everyone. English humor at its finest. Plus there's Matt Berry's lovely voice in it!!! Highly recommended. Reggie's wife could learn a thing or two!

This is a delightfully weird game, full of quirky characters and absurd situations. However, I didn't find it to be as outright funny as many of the other reviewers did. There's a lot of decent sight gags, the wacky characters with silly voices are amusing, and I enjoyed the bits with over-the-top cartoon physics; but ultimately there were only a few points at which I actually laughed at anything, which is why I'm reluctantly giving it a thumbs down. Some other nice things: The art and music serve the goals of the game well; in particular there's a big musical number toward the end that's just perfect. Many of the characters are more well developed than you'd expect for a 3 hour comedy game with a relatively large cast of miscellaneous townsfolk. The gameplay is very minimal; you walk around and slap things, or occasionally jump on them. There are a couple of trivially easy platforming sections. There are no real puzzles, except occasionally wandering around finding the right thing in the environment you need to interact with to progress, which does get a little tedious as the game revisits the same areas with changes over time. Also, there's exactly one place in the game where you need to hold down the "slap" button, which is obnoxious. Ultimately, I'm not, like, mad that I spent $10 and a couple of hours of my life on this, but I feel like there are probably better options out there if you want a comedy game.
