About
The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition is the ultimate way to play the award-winning RPG from Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division
You’ve tried the rest, now come back for the best! The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition includes the base game and all add-on content as the definitive way to play the beloved RPG from Obsidian Entertainment. This remastered masterpiece is optimized to be the absolute best version of The Outer Worlds… even if you choose to play this critically acclaimed RPG as the absolute worst version of your character.
Lost in transit while on a colonist ship bound for the edge of the galaxy, you awake decades later only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the colony. Explore the various planets and locations of Halcyon, including the mysterious Gorgon Asteroid and delightful distilleries of Eridanos. As you encounter various factions, all vying for power, the character you decide to become will determine how this player-driven story unfolds.
In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.
Key Features:
2019’s hit RPG has been remastered with better graphics, improved performance, additional animations, higher-res environments, and a whole new feature: grenades!
In keeping with the Obsidian tradition, how you approach The Outer Worlds is up to you. Your choices affect not only the way the story develops, they also affect your character build, companion stories, and end game scenarios.
During your journey through the furthest colony, you will meet a host of characters who will want to join your crew. Armed with unique abilities, these companions all have their own missions, motivations, and ideals. It's up to you to help them achieve their goals, or exploit them to your own ends.
Halcyon is a colony at the edge of the galaxy owned and operated by a corporate board. They control everything... except for the alien monsters left behind when the terraforming of the colony’s two planets didn’t exactly go according to plan. Find your ship, build your crew, and explore the settlements, space stations, and other intriguing locations throughout Halcyon.

Reviews
Turn off FSR and it's a pretty good remaster of a pretty good Obsidian game, but Outer Worlds has always been more of a throwback type RPG than anything forward looking. You won't find a lot of innovation or anything, just a decent story and some really fun combat and dialogue.
its a fun little game,
space good

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 30: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I tried to give this game a chance but i'm just bored, exploration and combat are sterile, i guess dialogue is ok when it doesn't insist on itself but it's not enough to make me play it.
Despite what some will say the cost is worth it, the graphics change is amazing as well as the additional changes they made and added. Loved it before and I love it still.
Ignoring the questionable business decisions, one one my favorite games
finally getting around to playing outer worlds. i have owned this and the OG version for a couple of years but finally getting around to playing the game and its pretty fun. good timing for me cuz i picked it up during/after their modernization QOL updates. finished the first world and i would recommend this game if you are like me and already owned it but never played it before. combat and navigation feels pretty floatie but i am loving all the voice acting and dialogue options. very colorful overall but i have run into some weird shadowing issues where some stuff doesnt look like it is lit up properly, but outside of those small issues i have been loving this games visuals.
Good game.
This recommend is a very conditional "yes". The game tends to get very repetitive and sloggy. I also had to reload it a couple times on startup though with a linux rig who know what's causing that. The storyline is OK, nothing special, the monsters are so-so, the weapons adequate. If you get a deal on this and wanna waste some time, go for it, but don't expect real fireworks, just the occasional chuckle as it twists the knife into corporate culture.
