very fun to play. its like a shorter fallout, easier to understand
Honestly, this is a great game. It got some hate when it first came out, and for whatever reason, it didn't initially set the best impression for me. Maybe it was the dialogue at the time? Regardless, I picked this up again this year, after playing through and absolutely loving the sequel. It's a story with a lot of heart, and while everyone will inevitably make comparisons to Fallout New Vegas and Bethesda, The Outer Worlds stands on its own. The world building, lore, environmental design, and story are all fantastic, and the Halcyon system stands out as simultaneously being a Flash Gordon stand-in while showing the worst version of Capitalism possible. The DLC is also a highlight, in the sense of how big each one is. Murder on Eridanos is pretty fun, but Peril on Gorgon is the superior expansion. In a lot of ways, it kind of makes me feel like I'm playing Old World Blues again, in the best possible way.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 30: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

A super solid game with a really good main story line. The DLCs are also pretty decent as well. It has that obsidian humor you would expect in a game like this. You can run different builds for different runs for example if you wanna be a smooth talking gunslinger you can do that, go crazy just always recommend either hacking or lockpicking to help with a run. Fore warning there are a hefty amount of fetch quests so mentally prepare for that but mixing them in with some of the other quests make it more bearable. Always a game I recommend to people if that one a good sci-fi spacey rpg.
Game repeatedly crashes after the introductory logos. I spent a while modifying elements of the .ini files as recommended by several sources. It did not help. My comp is relatively new and runs all comparable RPG games with no issues. Please fix this problem. Suggestions welcome.
Works well on my ROG Xbox Ally running SteamOS. Got this edition for Free for some reason as I got the original, playing through it again to see what the expansions are like, really enjoying it.
The Outer Worlds was a lot of fun, especially the two DLCs. The quests do start feeling a bit repetitive at some point, especially if you go for most or all of the side quests like I did, but the excellent story makes up for it. The other piece of criticism I have is that I wish the final boss was harder. It’s hard to even call it a boss fight, it was extremely easy. It also didn’t have a big dramatic health bar like another boss had, so I didn’t even realize it was the final boss! Maybe I was just very powerful, but I was hoping for more of a challenge. More on the positives of this game, though. I loved how many quests had another way to go about them that usually works out better in the end than the suggested method. For example (spoiler free), you can convince two rival groups to actually join together instead of fighting each other. Many of these quests feature “pacifist” options like this, and I found it to be more rewarding when I could pull it off! There’s a lot of choices to be made, and I enjoyed the simple process of trying to make the best choice. Overall, there’s a lot to do in this game, and a lot of fun to have. I would wait for a sale to buy it, though (I got it for $15).
Good Game .I say: The Outer Worlds still holds a nostalgic charm for its distinct visual style and retro futuristic art design, the actual gameplay execution in its expansions, Peril on Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos, completely falls flat. Looking at it objectively today, now that we are in Q3 2026 and not 2004, the core game's style simply cannot mask how poorly constructed these DLCs actually are.Other than that is a great game .
