For now, I prefer to call this game a "Walking Simulator" because there are very few items to interact with (many of the plants and buildings are untouchable pictures), and most of the time you're left standing in the open grass with nothing to do. Any NPCs other than the merchant's villagers cannot be talked to. First I would like to talk about the advantages. The map is vast, the scenery is beautiful (as long as you ignore the mosaics on the buildings), and there is no story line that forces you to complete a certain goal. The development team also responded positively to my questions in the discussion forum. Judging from the amount of drive space it takes up and the developer's efficient updates, I can foresee this being a big project with ambition. Secondly I would like to talk about the serious problems it shows: 1. No matter how much the weather changed, it couldn't have any effect on me. I don't need to shelter from rainstorms in the house, and I don't need to use equipment to protect my body so much that the weather system looks like a "decoration". 2. Stamina was depleted at a frighteningly fast rate (I lost more than half of it after a few laps around the village at the starting location) and recovery was slow. Instead of movement, I froze in reality for dozens of minutes at a time to get my Stamina back to its maximum. 3. The AI is so terrible that the clipping bug causes animals gathered together to look like "Siamese twins", and animals always do the moonwalk. The character's attack movement is stiff, the accuracy and range of effect of weapons is a mystery (often unable to cause damage when aiming at animals), so that hunting is extremely troublesome. This led to my failed attacks on wolves and frogs. 4. The meat obtained after killing the animal would mold in mere seconds, too short a time to transfer it to the campfire for heating. And except for being attacked by carnivorous animals, I do not need to eat to sustain life, so that the existence of the food system is meaningless. 5. I found several empty houses, but I couldn't put the manufactured furniture in any place other than my self-built house (including in the grass). Trees seem to be impossible to cut down, and all building materials can only be scavenged (wood is not generated in the wild, and can only be found in populated villages). 6. Swimming system is only useful in a few lakes next to the swamp, most rivers in the wild I can cross easily like a mermaid (no creatures underwater, and the visual effect is no different from land). Other creatures and resources that appear in the tutorial (such as bears, goats, minerals, etc.) I have not encountered so far, or if I have, it seems to make little sense, because the game has neither a plot nor a goal. I had absolutely no idea where I should go or what to do. I didn't opt for a refund because the price was so cheap, and I want to support the developers to see more improvements (although this may take 1 or 2 years or even longer). After the playability is improved, I'll pick this game up again and consider changing my current rating.
Tried it out a bit and the graphics are okay. The price is also positive. But it def lacks off content, but due to being early access it's acceptable. Have seen way worse EA games :) Just an idea: try to implement some sort of diary or simple quests for example, like bring "Item XYZ" x10 to trader. Or traders asking you to hunt animals. Anyways, keep up the work and maybe I'll return at some point. But for now it is a NO from me.
The price was right so tried it out. Good enough gameplay loop for my money, clunky enough that it's easily improved through quality of life updates alone. Worth following.
Game has fantastic potential. Graphics are pretty solid. Animations and avatar is likely a work in progress but not a bad foundation. Combat is rough, sheep kill me as the spear doesn't connection very well. Harvesting is a bit tedious as some items aren't able to be gathered, I.E. tons of stones but can't pick them up or trees that can't be chopped down. All in all I highly recommend this game. Perhaps wait for a sale or closer to launch but the devs are pretty active and updates are regularly being released. 8/10
I like it and it has lots of possibilities
18RMB的游戏竟然有12G,画风也不错,希望赶紧出多人模式吧,然后再请求作者出个汉化,哪怕是机器翻译也好。
Abandoned. Steam will let just anyone make a "game" and release it in Earl Access, and then abandon it and move on to the next thing. Only the customers get ♥♥♥♥♥♥, just like how Steam likes it.
Do not waste your money with this garbage. I am playing games since 1997 half life still better then this game. he is trying to copy new world game by amazon but he need to eat 40 feet container load of bread before getting that level i mean it do not waste your dime with this
************************************************ * PRODUCT NOT WORKED ON SINCE 17TH JAN 2023 * ************************************************ Last update: 17th Jan 2023 Last developer post: July 2023, however there was a response statement by the developer in reply to someone saying the product was abandoned in the discussions thread on the 7th Feb 2025 that it wasn't - just on hold. There were a few other developers who said that same thing, "Novus Inceptio", "Landless", etc who had already immediately bailed on the product after making that statement. Going by the track record of lack of news, updates or even work at this point, I'd be a fool to not say this products been abandoned. Save your money for something else especially since no activity has been happening here.
