Feels super empty of features? The world is nice, but there's so many things that don't seem to appear ingame at all. No skill tree? Levelling up essentially gets you nothing except for a random perk at level 10 and 25. no fast travel, no home teleport, crafting does not pull from storage, stack sizes are super low, We went to every single tin spawn listed on the wiki, in the dark forest, across two days, not a single tin node? Armour has no buffs per class, only one debuff? I don't recommend this game as it is, currently. Windrose, Enshrouded, way better.
Hi! I really like your game and I spent many hours playing it. It’s weirdly cozy, and astoundingly beautiful. I played it all on single player and had no problem. I was pretty afraid at the beginning, but was a steamroller by the end. Funnily enough I enjoyed the landscape and feeling connected to the earth so much that I actually audibly cried Nooo!! Whatt?? When I learned that ||we can fly. Then on the big island, I learned flying was as integral to the landscape as hooves to a goat.|| Simple ideas for the Devs for improvements: 1. People like to base near water since its scenic. But not near the ocean as this effectively halves your resource reach. I bet most people are based at that little lake. With limited missions, we spend much of our time basing. Maybe give us motivation to build camp elsewhere by adding some random springs or creeks to the meadows? 2. Why not have the NPC speakers talk like ancient Greeks? Like Homer. The Merchant, Jason, are not redolent of their milleu. Here are some metaphors and epithets I transcribed from the Butler translation: Do you eat fruit of the earth (are you a mortal or god?) Hector leapt with a face as dark as flying night Poseidon had kept no blind lookouts Like a falcon bane of doves Spear of Pelion ash Teeth a silver trap With fell intent The father of all balanced his golden scales and placed a doom in each of them, There are no pacts between lions and men Till one shall fall and glut grim Ares with his lifeblood Dogs not fire shall devour the flesh of hector Saffron mantled dawn His heart was black with rage and his eyes flashed fire There in he gathered his clouds together grasped his trident stirred it round in the sea and roused the rage of every wind that blows the earth till earth sea and sky were one A dust raised upon the plain as they flew “so true is it that the gods do not grace all men alike in speech and understanding.” -best odysseus diss Smote the gray sea with their oars Enjoy the boon of sleep The court beyond is full of ghosts trooping down into the night of hell “Dogs, did you think that I should not come back from Troy? You have wasted my substance, forced my womanservants to lie with you, and have wooed my wife while I was still living. You have feared neither god nor man, and now you shall die.” He smote the earth with his forehead in the agonies of death 3. Maybe make the other biomes somewhere you would want to stay after beating their bosses? The dark forest feels cold, and the desert empty and repellant. I quickly abandoned my bases there after completion. This limits you to spending your sandbox-time in a small area of the map. 4. Maybe armor paints which are a bit more natural? Or craft dyes to let us pick the fabric/feather color specifically? I still find bronze looks the best and thematic. 5. Easy enough to call it an amphora or a kylix instead of a vase (deco). Every little ceramic shape has a name. It buffs the credibility of the game a lot to hear them, and maybe it will teach us too. This you can look up on a diagram. https://www.hellenic-art.com/hellenipedia/greek-pottery-glossary/ 6. All I ask, if my literary list is any help is: can you put the forest crickets sound, in the music box or so? ty. I like to hear them in my base on the meadows, calms me down; the sound dissipates when away from trees. But no less realistic to hear them in the grass. Anyway, thank you very much, and I am looking forward to future content. -a historian and archaeologist
Everything feels a bit 'off'. Movement, building, combat, "gliding"(flying) all feel very clunky. I'm seeing a lot of things incorporated into this game (many of the things that I enjoy from other games in this genre) that just don't hit the same level. Roughly stated, gameplay/mechanics are much better in those other games than with this one. I'll give this an A for effort, but a C for execution. I've neither the time nor patience to devote to this game at this time. I hope it improves with further development and will revisit after early access.
They just abandon this game? Nothing since MAY with a hotfix...... I think its cooked.
Came back to see what's new and well somehow this game has gotten bad and just due to one thing currently since it's keeping me from even progressing to see everything else. Tried countless times to fix the keybindings and not a single thing works so I can't even access building menu. Didn't have this issue last time so It'll have to be a hard pass.
I was pretty sure that I'd already drained all the good games the survival genre had to offer, but somehow this game slipped under my radar. It has good combat, good progression, and good base building. The game has a lot of potential to stand beside the heavy hitters of the genre. Edit: the Frame rate is really bad
The feeling is that its still very incomplete. No real tutorial or explanation in the beginning how to do certain things or really what to do. Nice scenery and environment, could be good.
Initially, the game captivates with its immersive experience, creating an exciting atmosphere filled with numerous discoveries. However, as I delved deeper and explored the entire map, I realized just how empty it truly is, which led to a decline in my interest. I sincerely hope that a future update will rectify this concern.
How did this game go under the radar for this long? Sure, it's a EA but it's already very polished. And that is noticable immediately upon starting. It's got a great premise (the greek mythological afterlife setting is inspired) and the server settings out of the gate lets you tweak the gameplay to a reasonable degree. I dislike survival crafting games in general for the grind and jank but this is pretty good. Looks good, runs great, animations are also smooth (except for jumping which looks weird. Also the precision needs tweaking as running and jumping from the edge does not give you distance. Instead, jumping a few steps before the edge will give you significant distance. And with a game that has no climbing or ability to grab onto ledges...this can be frustrating). Combat feels punchy and reactive. Blocking is pretty precise which is great. Building is, I suspect, easy to learn but difficult to master. The UI is clean, simple and thematically sound. The controller or keyboard/mouse controls do need a bit of work in making things a lot more intuitive and it would be great if the character avatar would visually show the weapons and equipment on the person (or have it be an option for people who don't care for these things). I think the lumen graphical settings can make things a little too overly bright but that's more of an Unreal issue than anything else. More customisation options for characters like eye resizing and more hairstyles would be good. A body slider too. But what's there is functional, works great, looks great and more importantly, is a pretty high bar expectation for the future. I am quite excited to keep going and exploring.
The gliding is a huge turn off for me. Why in the world would you add that in a game where you're a Greek warrior is beyond me. Watched a bunch of YT vids on this game and everyone said the same thing. They hate the gliding aspect. Debating if I refund just because of that.
