The Operator

The opening tutorial had me thrilled. The aesthetic and potential seemed very high. I was excited to use these systems to solve some cases. Unfortunately, the game is more interested in telling a story than building on gameplay principles. The story is...fine. It takes some big swings, but most of them are heavily foreshadowed and easy to predict. I wish this game had spent more time filling out the 'digital detective' gameplay suite and puzzles. I thought I'd found another Hypnospace Outlaw, Obra Dinn, or Roottrees. But it's closer to a visual novel than a detective game.

9/10. A very well-executed and immersive thriller. The detective puzzle parts are generally easy, but the story itself is quite fast-paced and well-paced. I'll probably replay the game again to carefully see what makes this story so engaging right from the very beginning. A short story, but definitely worth spending a few hours to experience it.

只有我看到这结局破防了吗。。。我还以为是我操作有问题 结果就是固定结局。 [spoiler] 看到主角死了已经很生气了因为代入了。。。结果最后大家不是死就是进去了。。。那不就是最差BE， [/spoiler] 让我亲手打出这样无法改变的结局，真的把游玩过程中的乐趣一扫而空。。。毫无爽感的游戏。。。相比之下长度偏短已经不是啥问题了

Nettes und kurzweiliges Spiel. Interessante Story, leider ohne Speicherpunkte. Würde mich auf einen zweiten Teil freuen.

good game. About 5-6 hours of gameplay depending on how fast you go. Story and game play is solid. I think the price is a bit high so I would only buy it if its on sale for $10 or less though.

the plot twist at the end was peak

I hardly ever write reviews for games... However, after this one... Just play it. You won't regret it. I went in thinking it was going to be a basic puzzle solving operator simulator game...HOW WRONG I WAS. This game, I should've seen it coming. I should've seen where it was going...But it kept me too immersed to really care about anything else. This is such a beautifully written concept turned into an equally beautiful game. Games never leave an impression on me, really. I mean I play them, I have my favorites. But this is the first game that has EVER given me chills, shocked me to my core, and my stomach dropped more times than I care to admit. This was a beautiful game. Absolutely fabulously, wonderfully, beautifully, amazingly well crafted game and I look forward to any other game this company produces. Thank you, Devs, for this beautiful masterpiece.

Im not much of an story-game player, but i have to say this game hit different and blew my expectation. One of the greatest titles i ever played. 11/10 would buy again
