Severed Steel – Review Severed Steel is a fast-paced and stylish FPS that focuses heavily on movement and action. The gameplay feels similar to SuperHot, but adds many more mechanics and features that make combat feel more dynamic and exciting. The achievements were fun to complete and encouraged experimenting with different playstyles. The firefight levels were a major highlight and added good replay value. The soundtrack also fits perfectly with the fast-paced action and keeps the energy high throughout the game. The game is also very well optimized, with support for ray tracing and DLSS that helps deliver smooth performance while improving visuals. The campaign is on the shorter side and the story is fairly simple, but the gameplay easily carries the experience. Rating: 8.5/10
This is worth it when it goes on sale for a steep discount (I picked it up for about a dollar) but the game just is not worth 25 dollars at all. This game suffers from an insane amount of mechanic creep and that makes it just not very interesting if you've played any other movement shooter. The player character is way too powerful and as a result the enemies are balanced to a degree that just isn't fun. The game itself is very easy but pretty much all difficulty just feels purely unfair and random. It also lacks any polish in its movement and abilities, which is something other movement shooters thrive on. For 1 or 2 dollars (the usual price during sale) I could definitely recommend this, but at 25$ it's a robbery. There are several better fast-paced shooters priced around 25$ that are way more interesting and polished (Titanfall 2, Ultrakill, Shady Knight, Enchain, Roboquest, and Doom Eternal to name a few).
eğlenceli
Imagine superhot, john wick, and karlson all in one but with back and front flips and the ability to dropkick. In other words, you should play this game.
Very cool bullet time FPS. I got it in the sale for 90% off, which is an absolute….. steel (!) But even for full price, is a super fun game. Lots of replayability too, with added New Game+, daily challenges, rougelite mode, and firefight. I’d actually played the open world follow up to this already (Echo Point Nova), so sort of knew the vibe. This is a bit tighter and gives that Matrix vibes. Plus looks great maxed out with RTX. Recommended!
TL; DR: A short and sweet bullet-time based parkour shooter. Will turn you into animu girl John Woo. What if the optimal way to play, was also the fun and cool way to play? This is a question Severed Steel seeks to answer. In SS, it's not just that you *can* do cool things like wall, running, sliding, dash-jumping, etc - it's that you *must,* because those things: 1. Render you invulnerable amid the hailstorm of bullets constantly coming your way. 2. Prevents your bullet time meter from going down. Yes, bullet time is a thing in this game. You'll be using it constantly because it makes it easier to do cool tricks, stay mobile, shoot the bad guys in the head, and generally stay alive. Try to play it like a normal shooter, you will die almost instantly. This game will have you playing as a cool and stylish acrobat, because it's the only way to play. This is a good thing. That's one half of the equation. The other half is the near completely destructible levels. The edges of the map are invulnerable by design necessity, but everything inside is fair game. There are weapons that can destroy walls, ceilings, floors, and cover - but the most effective one is the plasma cannon you have built into your arm after the tutorial level. Enemy behind a wall? Blast him. Want to make a shortcut? Blast a new way through instead of taking the long way round. Want to literally get the drop on your enemies and rain death from above? Blast your way into the room below you. It really opens up options and is cathartic to do. Lastly, this game does not wear out its welcome. You can complete the campaign in 4 hours, though there's a mini-roguelite mode if you want more. Given the low price when it goes on sale, it's good value for money.
Cooles Spiel. 8/10
Good
A cool Ghostrunner/Neon White inspired short indie shooter. Pros: -the movement is insanely fun -the music is good and fast paced -the gun play is okay. a lot of the kills are satisfying Cons: -sometimes the enemy spawning and movement can be frustrating especially since you are so frail. they spawn all around you and sometimes it ends up getting you killed. -the levels got quite a bit repetitive -i have no idea what the story is. it just says "DO THIS THING" in big letters on the screen..and I do it. and then there's some sketch -cutscene that doesn't make a lot of sense, then it yells at me to do the thing again. Not really sure what I did other than escaped. Don't know why or anything. -The last two levels should have been reversed in order. Overall a nice, short game.
Super fast and super fun with a very nice soundtrack. Main campaign is short but that doesn't matter as it has very good replayability.
