luv surreal stuff
Extremely interesting game. Entertaining.

I'm working through Cosmo D's games now, after hearing all the high praise for them for years, and while they're novel to a degree, I just don't think they're really *that* good. The music is great, and the neon environments are cool, but the story for The Norwood Suite (I've only played this and Off-Peak so far) is pretty contrived and not compellingly told. The characters you encounter are pretty stock "videogamey" characters, mainly serving to give you fetch quests - seeing all of the reviews going on and on about the excellent writing really makes me feel like I missed something. I appreciate that the developer is trying to do something different, and it isn't bad per se, but the critical fawning over a pretty basic narrative seems bizarre.
Wow. this was such a cool game. The visuals are just insane and the atmosphere is amazing. A bit creepy and very creative. Every new area was gorgeous and inventive. Loved this.
Cosmo D has an incredible gift for creating music-based surreal experiences and it really started to shine in this, The Norwood Suite. The music is unique, and there's so much of it. The visuals are unique, odd, with incredible artwork choices and the fact that all the "dialogue" is musical instruments being played is such a wonderful flavor. If you like surreal games that are love letters to music first, give this a try.
Music is phenomenal, world design and colors are equally great. I wish this game were more popular so I could discuss more with others. Short but a blast. Note: I DID run into a glitch where the esc menu would not pop up and I had to force close the game early on, which started me back at the beginning. Once I restarted, no more issues.
