from the perspective of a completionist: Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix reminds me of Garfield Kart in the worst way possible. Well, at least this game isnt the buggy mess that Garfield Kart is. I dont understand how some games meant for kids have this disgustingly hard difficulty that leaves you to only HOPE you get lucky one race. The CPUs you play against will constantly have a projectile pocketed to ruin your 3 star runs, and even if you somehow dodge the projectiles with a shield or your own projectile, its very likely they just start rubberbanding and completely overtake you AT THE LAST MILLISECOND OF THE RACE. I have been body checked and made to hit the wall while the rest of the racers past me and left me in 8th.... on my last race... after finally getting first 3 times... now i have to restart the entire thing over again. It's a headache. other than getting all 3 stars on all speeds, and buying all items in the shop, it was fun playing through and getting to do everything this game offered. it is able to hav enough personality to be a unique experience in a market oversaturated with licensed kart racers. (QUICK note about another item: King Jellyfish is this game's blueshell like in Mario Kart. person in first place gets hit and loses a good amount of speed. its STUPID in this game and done very poorly. sometimes slowing down to have someone else tank it only screws you over in the end because the other CPUs can pass you so quickly if not careful. there is only two ways to avoid it, avatar shield and going through a cannon which means that you are soooo much more susceptible to having your runs murdered by this thing. you will never find yourself getting this item but you WILL find yourself constantrly seeing CPUs throw it at you anytime you're actually doing well and about to win) Despite my complaints towards the CPU on the insane difficulty, if this is a game you're looking to buy and play casually with friends (since local multiplayer with a max of 4 is possible) this is the most chaotic racing game you can ever get to play with your friends and I mean that in the best way possible. Diverse kart and skill loadout customization, decent cast of characters from your fav cartoons and nostalgiac tracks that remind you of your fav shows growing up. one nitpick about tracks, you will be going very fast a lot of the time and the turns on a lot of tracks are so tight you are constantly bumping into walls when attempting to drift. to fix that occuring problem, brake while you drift on tighter turns. Overall, I would recommend Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 for social gamers that like to play unserious but fun games with their friends and maybe to completionists IF they're okay with possibly attempting one singular cup on insane difficulty more than 20 times because RNG isnt on their side.

Якщо перша частина виглядала як спроба наздогнати конкурентів, то друга вже впевнено мчить власною трасою. Розробники збільшили ростер до 30 героїв і додали ще 70 помічників із власними бонусами. У результаті виходить справжній конструктор дивакуватих команд, де Леонардо з Черепашок-ніндзя може отримувати підтримку від равлика Гаррі зі "Спанч Боба" і ще когось із всесвіту Завойовника Зіма. Саме ця система робить гру цікавішою за типовий картинг. Тут можна не просто вибрати улюбленого персонажа, а й зібрати комбінацію здібностей під власний стиль гри. Фактично баланс частково перекладають на плечі гравця: експериментуй, комбінуй і шукай, що працює краще саме для тебе. Траси теж не підкачали. Вони побудовані на мультяшних всесвітах Nickelodeon і регулярно підкидають альтернативні маршрути, скорочення та місця, де потрібно думати не лише про швидкість, а й про виживання. Бо безпечних позицій тут практично не існує. Бонуси б'ють боляче і без попередження. Якщо суперник невчасно закриє вам огляд якоюсь гидотою або підстрелить перед поворотом - це справжня проблема, а не символічний ляпас. Гра постійно нагадує: перше місце - це не привілей, а мішень. Герої - виконані у 3D, хоча і зведені до одного стилю, подекуди виглядають моторошно, а от на іконках все впізнаєш одразу. Ще один дивний недолік - герої не розмовляють. Для гри, яка побудована на відомих мультяшних персонажах, це трохи сумно. Можливо, винні ліцензії, але почути фірмові репліки під час перегонів було б значно веселіше. Особливо приємно, що гра підштовхує до експериментів. Нові деталі для машин, різні характеристики трас і суперників поступово пояснюють: якщо вперто їздити одним персонажем, колись траса нагадає тобі, що світ складніший за кнопку "Старт". Для розуміння місцевого рівня божевілля достатньо уявити: - Кітпес їде в одній команді з жабами - Равлик допомагає вигравати гонки краще за деяких супергероїв - Перше місце втрачається через те, що тобі буквально закрили очі перед фінішем Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 - це веселий мультяшний картинг, який не соромиться бути хаотичним. Тут приємно збирати власні команди, пробувати нові комбінації та регулярно отримувати по пендюль від гри за надмірну самовпевненість. Саме так і мають працювати хороші аркадні перегони.

This game is clearly low-budget. Go for any sonic racing game instead..

Fun for the whole family. It's like Mario Kart for PC - and there aint nothin' wrong with that!!

Слишком паршиво и дёшево: персонажи все безмолвные. Музыка очень унылая. Физика езды дубовая. С друзьями мб было бы веселее, но одиночные турниры до ужаса раздражающие: заезд буквально не зависит от ваших ошибок, даже при идеальных условиях игра может вытереть об вас ноги и выгнать с первенства. Клал в рот медузе и появляющимся из неоткуда магнитным хуёвинам, которые тебя засасывают даже спиной, когда ты их не задевал.

Everything else about this game was great, except one thing: drifting. It didn't feel as refined as I was hoping and ended up making the game feel more like a gas & go game, more than cutting edge speed boost drifting game.
