The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu

This game's vibes are immaculate, and it has a really strong foundation. The devs seem to have a strong vision and a willingness to iron out some pain points. I'm excited to see how great this can get.

They still have a lot of work to do on this game. Honestly, I wish I could return it in its current state. The tree spiders need to be rebalanced—they can almost one-shot you even when you're wearing full armor, and they destroy your armor so quickly that it feels pointless to wear any at all. There's also a serious lack of healing options. It's far too difficult to recover health while exploring the map, which makes the game feel unnecessarily punishing. On top of that, the creeps that burst out of the ground are excessive. They don't add anything fun to the gameplay, especially when making too much noise already causes a massive horde of enemies to spawn. It feels like the game is constantly throwing enemies at you instead of rewarding careful play. Overall, the game has potential, but it needs a lot more balancing and quality-of-life improvements before I'd recommend it.

You know, this game isn't perfect. But if you meet a fun group and work together, it is very fun to run around and attempt to follow the story and complete it. I had a solid 9.8 hours of fun with some randoms finishing the campaign. 9.8 hours of pure memory fun for $24 isn't a bad deal at all for me.

Pretty good when you play solo pirate life!

Game is incredible, Has a bit of a learning curve but its not a long one. If you can get some friends and play this you will have a great time. It can be a bit buggy and I did have some crashes, but if you lower the graphics you should be good to go.

Great game to play with friends, the more friends you play with the higher the difficulty. make sure you are already friends through steam before grouping up to play.
