The Mermaid Mask

Отличное продолжение!! В Tangle Tower главным недостатком являлась абсурдная концовка, здесь же всё максимально стройно - у убийцы понятная и даже драматичная мотивация. Очень нравится, что у на первый взгляд карикатурных персонажей довольно тяжёлый бэкграунд, что делает их очень живыми. Антураж потрясающий, озвучка и анимации на высоте. Одна из любимых серий игр. Готова ждать следующую часть столько, сколько потребуется!

They somehow made a snarky, egotistical writer that I still cared about, and that deserves a medal What a follow-up! This is easily the best Detective Grimoire game and makes a lot of small but critical improvements that make it a certified classic in its field. Easily the biggest improvement is in the writing. The dynamic between Grimoire and Sally is wonderfully developed, each suspect is quirky yet filled with intrigue and depth, and the mystery is absolutely stellar. Aside from having a slightly forgettable cast, the biggest issue with 'Tangle Tower' was the abrupt and somewhat nonsensical ending, which both had significant plot holes and left things largely unresolved. This game doesn't seem to fall into any of those traps. Presentation is genuinely incredible. The setting is so well realized, the characters are animated with so much kookiness and fluidity, and the voice acting is great! Also, every single object is fully modelled in 3D, and they often contain numerous details that are relevant to the story. I just wish we could interact with the objects in puzzles like in the Ace Attorney games. The puzzles are still fun, if a bit obtuse at times, and the deductive elements are always a treat. The deductive gameplay takes a backseat until the second half and could probably have been fleshed out a bit more and sprinkled more evenly throughout the experience, but what's there is good. Nitpicks aside, I'm so unbelievably impressed with what SFB Games have delivered. It feels like they've fully realized the series' identity and are now just refining/tweaking things. And they're able to balance comedy and drama extremely well, which deserves special mention. I cannot wait to see where the next entry takes us, because at this point, the sky's the limit with this series. I'd score it 9/10.

i may be incredibly bad at puzzles but i enjoyed this game very very much! 11/10 on all fronts, animation and voice acting AND THE ENDING AAGHHHHH I WAS SO HAPPY!!!! good game!!! also madam tadpole are you free 2nite ahhaaaaaaaaaaaaa

As always, another game from the Grimoire team that lives up to the series going as far back as the flash game that started it all. I will never have anything but praise for this series, and Mermaid Mask is amazing. I really thought i was figuring it out only to be switched up again and again. Such a great game, highly recommend the full series!

After testing games that were not my cup of tea, I needed to find a new inspiring game that would weaken the sensation of dullness. The Mermaid Mask was exactly what I needed. Having played Tangle Tower and putting this new game high on my wishlist since I discovered its announcement, you could say I was quite thrilled when it came. All the waiting was rewarded with this jewel of a detective game. Everything is perfect in the game: the usual game elements (gameplay, story, music, etc.), how every clue fits like a glove in the narrative, the orientation of the sense of mystery and the mixture of cozy investigating with sharp deductional insight and uncanny elements. Tangle Tower was already high on my detective and general top games list but The Mermaid Mask is a striking example of how near perfectness can attain a higher level. Easily one of my favorite 2026 games! Many thanks for SFB games for this exquisite release.
