The Mermaid Mask

Another banger from SFB games. a wonderful mystery game that is approachable for all kinds of players. some puzzles got quite confusing at the end but the rest was challenging in a good way. For players coming back from their previous games: The ending was actually an ending not a cliffhanger.

I've enjoyed all of the Detective Grimoire games, and I think this is the best one yet. Great writing, characters, and presentation. The voice acting in particular was fantastic across the board.

The Mermaid Mask is an absolutely fantastic game. If the demo or trailers are intriguing to you, do yourself the favor and pick up the full game. I loved playing the predecessor game Tangle Tower so much on Switch, I replayed it on Steam a while later. I did not expect The Mermaid Mask to be significantly different gameplay-wise, but I am happy to report that it is [i]even better.[/i] A few notes: - Incredible character animations, silly writing, and impeccable voice acting - Fun puzzles (some more engaging than others, but overall really enjoyable) - Compared to the 2D clues in Tangle Tower, clues are now 3D and contain more hidden info - Art Gallery with fun developer comments Small critique: It would be nice if this game had a chapter select or rewind type feature once the story is finished. Some achievements are missable once you start the final chapter, and it can take a bit of time replaying the game simply to choose a different dialogue option.

The Mermaid Mask se presenta principalmente como una novela gráfica interactiva que esconde una historia de suspenso bastante interesante, bien desarrollada. La interacción se da por el lado de la búsqueda de evidencia que te permitirá resolver el caso; el punto negativo clara, al menos para mí, es que es muy simple, el juego te acompaña de la mano desde que inicia hasta que termina, no existen las consecuencias negativas. Los puzzles que presentan son interesantes pero ninguno requiere de algún conocimiento previo, ya sea por evidencia o relevamiento de testigos; simplificando su existencia y resolución. Gráficamente es muy lindo, las animaciones sin bien son reiterativas son hermosas, el sonido es correcto, la historia y su ejecución acompañan un ritmo adecuado. Se agradece la traducción al español. Si te gustan las "novelas gráficas" interactivas de suspenso, es recomendable sin dudas. Si te gusta "pensar" para descifrar el caso, hay otras opciones mas recomendables. En las 8 horas que me llevó terminarlo no encontré ningún fallo técnico.

퍼즐의 난이도가 적당하고 스토리도 억지스럽지 않게 개연성 있게 전개되어 끝까지 몰입하며 즐길 수 있었습니다. 전작인 탱글 타워도 재미있게 플레이했는데, 이 게임 역시 그에 못지않게 만족스럽게 플레이 했습니다

Went in with great expectations, and it delivered in every department. Art as always is beautiful, the animations are AMAZING, THE MUSIC! I was hooked the whole game to the story, when everything comes into place its just magical. Liked this ending more than tangle tower's. I hit a few walls with some tangle tower puzzles, but these we're all 100% intuitive and still challenging (minus Mariana's journal one, I got it but it's sensible about specific placing even tho the answer was correct). The characters are all full of charm, passed every clue through everyone just to get all the dialogues. Wonderful stuff!! Excited to see what's next!!

Great mystery/detective game! Fantastic art, brilliant writing, immaculate vibes! A must play for sure!

2 hours in. wonderful game building off tangle tower, seems to have a similar paranormal touch to it. Great art, writing, voice acting, everything.
