Buggy and crashes. Also, not much to go by. Get other games like Grimrock instead.

Una agradable sorpresa, me recuerda mucho a Heroquest pero con más reglas y movimientos más avanzados. Solo una pega, los turnos se hacen lentos.

Not really worth what it costs. It is extremely clunky. Sometimes you will not know what to do or things will seem to hang.

Tags: Topdown - Gridrogue Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: No open world. No sandbox. No endless mode. RNG oriented. Immersion breaking rules about flipping tiles. Figurine and board game aesthetic. So all you can do is follow a scripted storymode. Rolling and trying to apply the randomly given given actions to the situation. You get to move, attack, and sometimes perform a tile swap based on the dices rolled. Losing a party member means replaying the level over. Between levels you are treated to amateur voice acting over still shots of a 3D engine. Visual Novel style. Maybe they could not get the animations or the framerate for basic cutscenes. The tavern mode is definitely the more pleasant of the two, with the tabletop simulation at least making sense of the barebones mechanics. But even the rooms are very sparse and empty. Animations are very limited. I disliked the empty gaps between the rooms as well and found the camera rotation to be tied only to keyboard a tad cumbersome to handle at times. The game's writing and story is thin and completely skippable as well so you are missing absolutely nothing by skipping it. The miniatures do not have a RPG system, stats, perks, abilities or anything really noteworthy about them that I could see. Conclusion: While there is an enjoyable concept in seeing the dices being rolled and moving a miniature around, it is best kept as an aesthetic and art direction choice, rather than have it bleed over into gameplay in my humble opinion. Additionally, the game is very basic, with basic actions, the turn based nature extends the playtime but there are no deep tactical assessments to be made, making the dead in-between times feel like they last that much longer. The Living Dungeon has an interesting premise, in both lore and mechanics, but right now it lacks polish and balance. Its randomness plays against it and it can lead to very frustrating moments.
