Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.57/day in the week to Sep 7 → 3.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The Life and Suffering of Prince Jerian is a narrative role-playing game telling the story of a cruel world, where lawbreaking is met with severe punishment, and a crown prince must decide the destiny of the land. Whether you rule maintaining the old order, or create a new future is up to you.
In the Great Arknian Empire, everyone’s life is determined by their birth. Such is the ultimate law laid down by the Twins, stern gods who divided society into Lots. The clergy shows people the right path, the nobles rule, and the commoners’ Lot is working and suffering in obedience. Your fate, however, is very different: to be the chosen of the gods, become their tool, and govern the entire nation.
You, Prince Jerian of the Tempest, must embark on a lifelong journey: starting as a child unaware of his destiny, and becoming an emperor for whose role you have been preparing since birth. As a crown prince, you will have to understand your country and its culture, but also make difficult choices affecting the fragile balance of powers in the Empire, and yourself.
Developed by the creators of The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante, the events of this new game take place in the same universe, but tell a completely different story. While The Life and Suffering of Prince Jerian inherits existing gameplay features, it also contains new mechanics reflecting the protagonist’s role and traits.

As a future ruler, you must learn the current state of the Empire. The treasury is running dry as the estates rise one against another, fighting for their interests. The church withers and sows hatred among the people, noble houses aspire to keep the old traditions, and commoners demand equal rights with the nobility. Pay attention to these circumstances and decide the country’s path while chasing your own goals.

The time will come, and the Emperor’s scepter will lie in your hands, but you feel its weight even now. You have to act immediately: you are the only one able to change the course of history, to unite or shatter the country. Make difficult choices that affect the nation and you alike. Promises given to yourself might become your most unbearable burden. Every decision brings consequences, and your mistakes will be paid for by the entire Empire.

You were given power by birth, but the cost of such majesty is your own ambition. You are shackled not only by the outside world and its circumstances, but also by your soul. Thinking of who you are, who you want to be, and who the Empire wants to see in you, such is your lot. Making a choice of your own requires a sacrifice. Following the political situation and your family’s demands might drive you mad. Will you save yourself or allow your soul to shatter into pieces?

Be careful in choosing your allies: those who you keep close will shape your character and affect your decisions. Your family, your subjects, nobles and commoners alike, every single one wants your attention and patronage. Help one, and you will lose the support of another. Whether you succeed in maintaining the fragile balance of the Empire or let it all burn down in civil war will be decided by you.

Not only are you the crown prince, but also the Primate, who connects the worlds of the living and the divine. You and your family of the Tempest are the keepers of the Pact, a “testament” between the Twins and those who live by their will. Can it be changed without dooming the world? You will find the answer yourself.

The power that you possess is not an end, but a means. You are destined to save the world entrusted to you by your ancestors and gods. What future awaits the New Empire, and who will benefit? Whose sufferings will end, and whose will begin? Only time will tell.

Great and captivating game.
Life and Suffering of Sir Brante ist eins meiner Lieblingsspiele, weshalb ich mir den Nachfolger vorbestellt habe. Dann hätte man nämlich zwei Pole. ^_^
Worthy successor to original game, hopefully will not be the last so we can explore richnes of this fantasy universe futher. Amazing now we are in the charge of the empire; feels convincing with all sacrifaces and compromises player had to make so empire stay intact. Having this many choices yet there is actual mechanic behind it all. Creating such game truly amazing achivement.
Five star
I've only done a single playthrough but it took me 21 hours, albeit with a couple of chapter resets. Prince Jerian offers a deep dive into the lore, law, history, faith and blood tide. It is a Macro view of the Arknian Empire which gives it some benefits and setbacks when comparing it to Sir Brante. Prince Jerians deep dive into the above mentioned is very welcome, but it lacks some of the emotion you get from Sir Brante. Sir Brante is a game with a deeply relatable family and life situation that can bring a grown man to tears. Prince Jerian has a couple of moments but they don't compare. Overall I rate the two games as: Sir Brante: 9.5/10 Prince Jerian 7.5/10 If I had never played Sir Brante I would have given Prince Jerian a 8.5/10. The bar was set high with Sir Brante and it was a story that emotionally stuck with you. Prince Jerian while technically larger and diving much deeper into the world just lacked that special feeling Sir Brante gave you. The difference is a family living in the empire vs a family ruling the empire. The former offers a much more emotional story and invites you into the family, while the latter is more technical. One thing I think Prince Jerian does a lot better though is the blood tide. In Sir Brante, the tide is presented as a mystical and dark energy that pretty much allows your grandfather to belittle you from beyond the grave. In Prince Jerian because of your distant heritage it plays a much heavier role. Many of your ancestors are some of the most influencial people to ever exist. They come to you in times of your need in a vision, showing you a relevant and world changing act they once did. It includes recent and very distant acestors, going back as far as the 1st emperor and before that. Before turning to you and asking you to follow in their footsteps. The gravitas of the situation is delivered to you very well with the writing, illustrations and music hitting home the vastness of the ancestors act that changes the world for centuries to come. Additionally, for those who played Sir Brante and went the judge route and thought "I wish there was more law and being a judge" Sir Jerian scratches that itch, there's much more of a focus on the empire the faith and law. I am going to play another playthrough at some stage and I really enjoyed the game. I believe it really adds to the world of the Arknian Empire and I'm really glad I played it and got to learn more about the world. It is a boon to the Sir Brante game. That being said I do think Sir Brante is the significantly superior game for how it makes you feel. Oh, if you managed to read far I recommend occasionally making manual copies of your auto save. There's no save scumming in either game, you can only restart a chapter and some are quite long. If you make a choice that leads to an early demise you essentially have to restart the whole chapter unless you had an earlier save backed up. Online save editors can also rescue you if you really screwed up and don't want to have to start over. Neither game is forgiving, though Prince Jerian does make an effort to allow you to make choices you don't have the requirements for, at a cost to Jerians Soul or Arknian standing. If you have played neither game and are thinking which to play first, you can honestly do either. But, I would recommend Brante first. It introduces you to the world fantastically from the perspective of a literal baby growing up and learning his way round the world. It'll teach you about the world Brante and Jerian live in. You can then move onto Jerian and look to rule that world you learned about.
