Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It is a bit old, You can see it become dated. That asside, it is an terrific story with great charactes and a very nice gameplay mechanics that worth you time. And if you played "Trails in the sky, first chapter", it is a very nice way to wait for the second part without much spoilers. One last thing: I decided to go to this games after viewing this video: https://youtu.be/AA-v186ODQ0?si=uffO84FEL2A5qwaJ

First things first, as a warning: Play Zero and Azure first to get the full experience. DO. NOT. SKIP! Second things second: I love Falcom so much. The Cold Steel (Erebonia) arc is closely linked to the Zero and Azure (Crossbell) games, but now in a new coat of paint with new graphics, 3D character models and a streamlined combat system. This gives the game a slightly different feel than previous entries, even though the main structure and gameplay loop is almost identical. It definitely feels more modern and intuitive to play... though I must admit I am slightly partial to the more simplistic graphics, sprites, 2D character portraits and soundtracks of the previous games. ...But that doesn't mean this is not worth playing! Oohhhhh noo, this is still an ABSOLUTE gem; The geopolitical worldbuilding is still insane, once again you'll get an unforgettable cast of characters with depth and development, the soundtrack STILL contains countless of bangers (which is honestly an impressive quality consistency), AAA voice actors -if you play in Japanese lol-, and the combat system is my favourite turn-based system, even though I don't like turn-based usually. Cold Steel is LONG, especially if you want to get all achievements and are taking your time talking to all NPC's, but it's totally worth it to throw yourself into the world and story as it's a great entrypoint for the rest of the Erebonia arc! Can't wait to see what's coming next in II, III and IV!
Guess I gotta play the other 7 games now...
One of my favorite game series of all time.
What a Gem of JRPG I really enjoyed the storyline and world building as the story progress Also Alisa best girl :3
This is my first game in the Legend of Hero's series. It has your typical JRPG elements. Long main story with some side quest that add some character development, and trust me there's a lot of interesting characters lol. This is the first game in the Cold Steel arc. There are 4 games, and in this one they introduce you to many of the characters that spread through out all four games. So there's a lot of introductions, dialogue, and character development. At times all the talking can be a bit annoying, but I understand they are setting up characters for a massive story that spans through out four games. Now, most of the characters at this point are still kids, so I found a bit of interactions to be juvenile but interesting none the less. They also do a lot of world building which ends up becoming really interesting in my opinion especially when you get to explore. The game has the ps3 era style graphics. Although the graphics are dated I found that on my 2k monitor they still were pretty crisp and clear, just not as detailed as a lot of games are now. The game runs smoothly and I've not no problems playing it whatsoever and I'm about halfway through it. Basically the game follows a formula. Each chapter you do a "free day" at school where you can do side quest to get to know your classmates better, and then after that the next day you go on a "field study" which is basically you going to another town to solve quest and continue the main story. Most of the main story is about the kids school life and their relationships with each other but with politics and social class issues thrown in the mix. Like I said it can be interesting, but at times it becomes a bit dull to get through. Like most JRPGs Cold Steel has the turn based combat. At first it feels easy but once you pass chapter 2 the battles start to get more in depth and harder. Mostly because they throw a lot of HP heavy enemies and status effects at you. The game will tell you as you progress but the key to most battles is elemental weakness and the combat link system. One of my bigger disappointments in the game is that when you go on a field study they split your class into two groups and they are never the same. Your class is all your party members you'd use in combat so a lot of the game they force you to use characters that you may not like to use. It's not a major problem, but with most games I get invested into certain characters and I like to use them throughout most of the game. Even though I'm only about halfway through. I'd def recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of JRPGs. Just know that if you do like it...there are about a dozen other games that are in the series as well lol.
I want to marry Jusis Albarea
Definitely the weakest Trails so far. I know it's supposed to be a starting point for the arc, which runs 4 games deep, but sill. Drags a bit and the characters aren't as interesting as previous Trails'. Fun game though, some good moments in it. I mostly enjoyed the Crossbell related stuff. Also annoying how there's seemingly a bunch of hidden quests. I spent a lot of time doing every single quest I got/found and still didn't get the achievement. Oh well.
