Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Um ótimo jogo, no quesito historia e gameplay trazendo algumas novidades para série, peca nos gráficos que são muito datados, mas pra a entrada da serie na era 3d está ok.

This is a combined review for both cs 1 and 2 since they are directly related CS1: This game did a great job introducing the new setting and casts. The places in erebonia are interesting and the class vii are quite likeable. They also improved the battle system to make it more approachable thought simpler. I don't mind this since we need to maintain a lot more party members. Since the routine is quite predictable, this game somehow has a comfy charm to it CS2: This is where you get the payoff from the setup in CS1. The highs in this game are certainly really up there and feels awesome, but the pacing toward the end is horrendous. I didn't expect at least 4 different parts for an epilogue. Overall, these are still a really good JRPG even though it is nowhere near the quality of sky or zero ao IMHO 7.5/10
good series
This is my first Trails game series. I have had this game since 2018 and just finished it in 2026. I tried to remember why I bought it long ago and why I didn’t finish it. As a Persona series fan, I was looking for another JRPG with a school setting and social links, and Trails of Cold Steel was recommended to me. That's why I played this game. Later, I discovered it had different mechanics from other classic JRPGs. The most notable is Combat Points, which manage battles and can significantly change your approach. It also involves magic (Arts) using Energy Points, with enemies having elemental weaknesses so you need to choose the right Arts. Stronger Arts take longer, which delayed my turns. This mechanic initially made me stop playing, even on normal difficulty, and I still struggled to grasp it. It's now 2026, and I finished the game on Hard difficulty. I believe I’ve now learned how to understand and enjoy this mechanic. Turns out, it’s not complicated; just draw on your JRPG experience, read the game’s explanations for Arts and skills, and analyze each enemy’s weaknesses to exploit them. Now that I’ve completed it, I need to finish the entire Trails series to learn about Zemuria’s fate. Later, I might replay New Game+ to unlock all the Steam achievements.
Great JRPG with fun combat and characters Trails of Cold Steel has a great story, strong world-building, and a cast you really get attached to. The combat is fun, and the social system adds a nice touch. It runs well on Steam Deck too! I just wish there was more voice acting—some dialogue can drag. Still, a great journey worth playing.
AMAZING entry into the JRPG genre. The Trails series as a whole is absolutely worth diving headfirst into, and Cold Steel 1 is easily a good entry into the series. The world of trails is so complex, with so much going on in the background, every game is entirely linked, but you dont NEED to play every game before playing an arc. Cold Steel 1 and 2 (not so much 3 and 4) can be enjoyed entirely standalone, and are absolutely fantastic even just as those, but combined with Sky 1-3 and Azure+Zero, its a great arc. This game DOES suffer from being the first entry of 4 in an arc though, and a lot of it can feel like its JUST building up and building up and building up and never really reaches a full climax, and the ending is multiple MASSIVE cliff hangers, so as a standalone game, CS1 is certainly in a weird spot. The gameplay loop of the trails game is incredibly addictive though, with fantastic use of a very unique turn based arena system, and multiple very unique mechanics mostly built around crafts. Cold Steels additions add character links that you can build up the power to, making for a lot of strategy in team composition and what links you have, and these can all change on the fly meaning you have tons of options at all times. And finally, it's a game made by Falcom in the 2010s. PRIME Unisuga era. You KNOW the music will be absolutely fantastic. Banger after banger after banger after banger. Overall, HEAVILY recommend getting into cold steel, and the trails series as a whole. this technically should be the 3rd arc you play, with sky trilogy and azure+zero before it, but as already stated, 1+2 can easily be enjoyed self contained, but if you really want to enjoy this series in its whole, you do have to play it in its whole.
very innovative and refreshing, combining persona and open world ish jrpg is a nice take. But well, don't expect much from the convoluted story cuz it's related to like idk maybe 6 other trails games. But the worldbuilding is good, dialogue is bareable and borderline well written. Mechanic is nice, coming from trail 1.
