Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.29/day in the week to Aug 2 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The prophesied end of the Zemurian continent draws near, and so does the launch of humanity's first foray into space. A sudden invitation from Marduk to cooperate in a high-tech training exercise sets Van Arkride, Ashen Chevalier Rean Schwarzer, and Father Kevin Graham on a collision course with the secrets that lay at the very core of Zemuria.
Their paths may diverge, but the ultimate question remains the same: Just what lies beyond the edge of the horizon?

Explore detailed locations across the Calvard Republic, strengthen your connections with your allies, and uncover what lies beyond the horizon of Zemuria across three intertwining story paths. Plus, Trails beyond the Horizon introduces new gameplay mechanics to the beloved battle system introduced in Trails through Daybreak, giving you an unprecedented amount of options in both Field and Command Battles. Battle it out in the action-packed Field Battle mode, then swap to the turn-based Command Battle mode to strategically plan out your attacks!

New features include:
Wield more power in battle than ever before with Shard Commands! Utilize S-Boosts to give your party a range of benefits during battle. Each character and holo core comes with their own unique Shard Commands, so be sure to take advantage of them!
Certain characters, such as Van with his ability to transform into the Grendel, can surge with extra strength using Awakening during Field Battles to temporarily increase their power.

Take control of time itself with Z.O.C. to slow the speed of enemies to a crawl, allowing characters to perform multiple attacks in quick succession. Not only that, but while Z.O.C. is activated, your attack power and stun damage will dramatically increase, making stunning enemies with high defense a breeze!
Plus, gather allies from all over Calvard and beyond and put a stop to Ouroboros' machinations in the Grim Garten, a dungeon that you can take on with your own custom party!
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Epic, Nintendo publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

What the ♥♥♥♥ just happened? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Anyway, PEAK PEAK PEAK FICTION.
Setzt die Story von Trails through Daybreak 1+2 fort. Habe gelacht, geweint und bin wieder Mal in Schnappatmung verfallen. Ist sein Geld wert.
Since I enjoyed the game I give it a thumbs up, but there are some things about it that bug me. Generally speaking, the one thing that annoys me the most in recent titles is that Falcom increasingly tries to convince me of things which I know are nonsense.
Story
The big problem Horizon has is that it's a reaction to how awful Daybreak2 was and some of the worst parts of this game are when the ugly face of Daybreak2's writing shows itself again. In the last game, you could practically feel the hand of the writers nearly all the time and, thank goodness, that's not the case in this game. Events develop more naturally, are connected, but there was too much developing in a very short amount of ingame time. There are some hiccups, but that's nothing new for the series and negligible in this amount. I appreciate Rean and Kevin being part of this game, but they are also clear bait to me. Don't expect too much from them, the game is still like half to 3/4 Van and his crew. The humor was also a bit much at times with squeezed in, simply too many or repetitive jokes. Falcom tries to appease people with more fan service, but less is often more.
Misc
There is now an archive in which you can read about events, characters, etc. I personally don't need it, but it's a very good addition. The animations took a huge step forward, especially crafts are very satisfying to look at. The follow-the-suspect minigame is just a bad addition. They tried to make them artificially more difficult, but it only made them more tedious. Also, still not a fan of shard mechanics, especially shard search. Falcom uses it far too often as a get-out-of-jail card. Something similar goes for Unclouded Eye, which started out as a skill but now feels more like a cheap cheat. At least, Falcom addressed the problem of technology advancing way too fast and included it into the plot. Every problem I had with Märchen Garten in the last game is fixed in this one, and now it actually feels like an upgrade from the Reverie Corridor.
Shizuna
She is still my biggest problem and so stupidly written that I simply can't suspend my disbelief. Falcom wants to paint her as a little troublemaker, which she certainly wasn't in the last game. They cranked her up while writing everything around her as if she was still just a little troublemaker with interactions that felt too often like bad sitcom sketches. In Horizon, she is toned down significantly. It's plain damage control, but not working for me. Everything in Horizon is written as if she is accepted by others and friends with them and Falcom even tries to go further already. That she is a recognized part of Arkride Solutions like Elaine and hints at her as a possible love interest for Van. All that based on what? The last game in which she was a total farce? She already felt forced, but Horizon made it so much worse.
