Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.57/day in the week to Aug 23 → 5.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

In a desperate move to end all wars that have been rampaging the world for decades, the mages provoked The Cataclysm. Massive balls of pure magic obliterated nearly everything. A strange purple mist propagated everywhere, with hordes of bloodthirsty mutants coming at night.
Our only hope is now to banish all magic from this accursed world by casting The Last Spell, requiring several days of uninterrupted incantation whilst a few strained Heroes try to protect those damned mages.

The Last Spell is a tactical RPG with roguelite elements in which you have to defend a city against hordes of deadly enemies.
During daytime, prepare your Heroes, carefully choose how to rebuild your Haven and position your defenses. Over the night, exterminate all the monsters coming at your walls with a large range of weapons and skills. Then heal, level up, and repeat until the Magic Seal is broken.

Turn-Based Tactical RPG:
● The whole RPG package: a flurry of stats, skills, perks, traits… and more.
● Tons of items: armors, weapons, trinkets and potions… with their own stats and skills, as well as optional random modifiers. Each weapon has its own skillset and playstyle!
● Build your own classes: upgrade your heroes with stat bonuses and perks, and equip whatever gear you wish. Want to make a glass cannon rogue/mage fighting with a gun? Do it!
● Manage your squad of heroes: they’re strong, but they are few and have access to limited resources. Healing and mana are scarce, so try to find a good balance.
Hordes of Evil:
● Think and adapt: you will face swarms of deadly enemies with only a few hardened heroes. Optimize your positioning and plan your actions: big AOE attacks, crowd control, buffs, poison... Every Action Point counts towards another day of survival.
● Enemies have strengths and weaknesses that will challenge your wits. And because hard is not enough for us, be prepared for the terrifying Elites!
● Each map will end with epic fights against unique mind-bending bosses.
Protect the Haven:
● Rebuild the city to help you in-between fights. Get healed, forge new magical weapons, get new heroes. Spend your resources wisely, commander!
● Build up your defenses: walls, traps, towers, catapults… every tiny bit of help is welcome.
● Protect the Magic Circle at all costs! If you lose it, humanity is doomed.
● 5 Havens to protect, each with their own setup and challenges requiring you to tailor your strategy to beat the Great Evil.
Roguelite Elements:
● The game is meant to be hard. You will fail… A lot. But every time you do, you’ll grow harder, better, faster, stronger!
● Procedurally generated enemy waves, characters, weapons and a ton of unlockables will keep you entertained until the real world collapses.
● Tailor each run thanks to the Omens: a limited amount of bonuses that can be picked for the upcoming run. Do you prefer more Action Points, more characters, sturdier defenses, better loot? Experiment to find your preferred tools of destruction.
● Scale the difficulty to your liking, with 6 levels of Apocalypse to entertain even the most hardcore players.
Headbanger Soundtrack:
● Over 25 tracks of thunderous synths-driven progressive metal to guide you through this joyous slaughterfest
● Composed by the incredible Rémi - The Algorithm - Gallégo

A great game that rewards careful planning. If you're too slow with planning and preparations, some runs have taken me about 10 hours over multiple IRL nights. Once you're used to the game, a lot of prep and planning can be cut short. Some of the more recent long areas I've done have been only 4 hours, which is still probably long for a lot of people. Definitely love the game, would recommend to anyone who enjoys games with a small tactical element.

TLS is essentially about making lots of tiny optimising decisions with whatever RNG throws at you. The core gameplay loops between mowing down hordes at night and (re)building your structures and defenses during the day. Combined with regular unlocks, this system works quite well until you progress through most of the upgrade systems and run out of new ways to play. This is also a game that's designed to become much easier after a number of complete runs: As of the 1.3 update, the first run is difficult but easily beatable by a turn-based + ARPG veteran. If you're learning the mechanics, discovering powerful combinations, and most of all succeeding until at least the final night, the power-curve of your heros increase to the point that the opt-in challenges (apoclypse levels) becomes necessary for the horde to have a chance surviving a single turn. Each DLC provides a worthwhile content update. The elven/dwarven content provide new niches, or exchange more complexity for more power. The final DLC bestows optional challenges that gives more power-spikes and extends the lifetime of the game further - e.g. unique weapons that promotes certain builds/playstyles but are not usually direct upgrades. In all, TLS is fine as an indie title. The night-phases you can pick up and casually play for a short session, although the later day-phases require a bit more planning if you want to squeeze as much as you can out of the lemon.
This is a game that's trying to do some cool things, but it takes too long to do them. In the 9 hours I've played that's the tutorial mission, the first mission, and part of the second mission. I have no idea how long the campaign is. The individual missions are too long. The game also gates solutions to problems behind a progression system. Like watchtowers so that you can see over the walls you built. That doesn't feel good. Each mission starts out with a randomized assortment of 3 heroes. They can be amazing or they can be terrible. They are different heroes for each mission you try to play. That is apparently the roguelike elements in play.
5/10 grab on deep sale - only 5 maps - insane grind to unlock some of the most basic things with no way of winning until you do. we are talking actual INSANE!! GRIND!!! im having none of that, would have uninstalled and negatively reviewed game if i was unable to give myself tons of orb currency. - game fails to explain on last wave you only need to kill the boss to end the night - things that randomly target units after hitting the 1st one you choose and it can kill your heroes from full health + traps + towers + tons of items - you really only want AOE things that can take out 6 or more units in 1 hit - not a fan of units not fully healing each day/getting mana back. feels like im always about to lose the fight, until the last enemy is killed - lots of things the game doesnt tell you that you can figure out with trail and error. that trail and error being half way into a 5 hour level + steam workshop - almost nothing in the workshop, its had workshop for over 5 years sooo not getting anything new - cant 100% acheivements unless you buy dlc
Thank you for the wonderful 300 hours of fun. Hope more great games will be released in the future.
Really solid game. Nice battle engine with quite a lot of stats but not too overwhelming. The base game felt like a complete experience for me. Don't think I'm going to invest time into any of the DLCs. Had some problems with the last map but mostly because I didn't know what boss was capable of. Few tips for new players (ignore if you want to discover the optimal strategy yourself):
- sniper with a longbow and a mage with tome of secrets are a must in a team - watchtowers are useful for characters with range attacks - not worth investing in stone walls as they obstruct view for characters and ballistas - heavy ballistas with dmg upgrades are the best - warp gates are pretty useful in later stages where you need to help weaker team members; but also helpful when some of the bosses are spawning around the map
Took me a while to beat.
