Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 22.71/day in the week to Sep 1 → 39.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The world you knew is gone.
You awaken as the last active Caretaker, a machine built for one purpose: save humanity. Across a vast ocean covering the ruins of Earth, you must recover human seeds, restore the Lazarus Complex, and prepare the next generation for launch into orbit.
The Last Caretaker is a first-person survival-crafting game about systems, choices, and purpose. Every resource matters. Every structure has a reason to exist. Every success gives humanity one more chance.

Recover human seeds and return them to the Lazarus Complex. Manage their growth, restore memory data, and prepare them for life beyond Earth.
Scavenge abandoned facilities, dismantle wreckage, and recycle materials into tools, weapons, power networks, and essential modules. Restore the machinery needed to keep the mission alive.
Rogue machines, hostile systems and the world itself will push back. Repair and maintain, upgrade your equipment, and protect what remains.
Restore ancient launch infrastructure, chart the ocean, gather resources and memories, and send the humans you raised into orbit. The mission is not survival for its own sake. It is a continuation.
Explore silent Sanctuary docks, Refuel Outposts, Underwater cities, and long-forgotten Seed Vaults. The story is uncovered through places, logs, memories, and the remains of a civilization that tried to outlive its own world.

simply, play the game

Love the exploring, scavenging, survival, story, and the world is GORGEOUS.
Not a bad game but I am split with the last update but will at least give a recommendation. There are plenty of things to do and although it can be somewhat repetitive, every location is slightly different. The pace of play is at your own and there is only a rush if you are completing a certain mission or tasking which I will not spoil. Even then though, it really isn't that big of a rush and you have plenty of time. The game can be sneaky with hidden locations, which I enjoy. A keen eye is required to find these and it makes you look thoroughly. When you think you have looted it all, take a break, go back, and look again. It would be nice to see a loot "progress bar" or "location information" on what is remaining at a POI. The first true problem I seen is just fuel consumption in general. Sure there are two options for fuel but I'm not trying to spend a bigger portion of my playtime traveling at 50% speed than I am playing the game itself. I would definitely like to see a reduction in the consumption by about 25% or so. Without making it too ridiculous, I had three tanks giving me 8000, but it still seemed as if I was constantly worrying about fuel. Which brings me to my next observation. As you level, naturally, you can craft more advance machinery to assist with the fuel problem and more. There just isn't enough room to support it all, the boat is just too small. With the last update they did provide the first extension, which is great, but it still just doesn't support what I would like to do yet. (independence from a stationary base.) To also support the fuel, the travel distance will take up half of your playtime due to the resources (oil) being so spread out between the two options <not inserting spoiler here>. Onto the next observation with travel to ensure fuel stability, or just travel in general. Do not expect an enjoyable ride as with the last update it seems as if there is more fog, storms, and large waves than clear days where you can enjoy the game's beauty (which there is plenty of). In essence, you will hate the weather more than the enemies...even the leeches. I missed out on a few potentially beautiful screenshots as the fog rolled in at exodus. It also seems to hit as you get close to a POI. I mean come on, it took me 15 minutes to get here, don't make it artificially hard to dock too. This is where I started to lose interest and as an achievement perfectionist, I couldn't wait to get them all so I could quit and move onto something else at this point. What started as a peaceful and enjoyable game quickly flipped with one update. My recommendation is let the player adjust the weather settings and let them create their own type of gameplay without adjusting graphic settings or adjusting game files as I have seen some people saying to do. As I pushed through and discovered the human aspect, I was intrigued and wanted to see this game component. While not understanding how to grow them, I wasted a lot of resources on my first grow. Although I think this aspect could provide some interesting gameplay as the game develops, I think this was too early to make it that complex. I say this not just because of the complexity, but the resources to "increase" requirements are limited at the moment. There are only so many book types, items, etc. and it is easy to waste if you miss how to do it. As I previously said about being a loot monster, there just doesn't seem to be enough right now. It would make it easier if certain enemy types respawned to provide some of the organic resources as well because there is a lot of waste early on before you realize it can be used in a better way than fuel. As I looted most POIs before actually doing the storyline, I lost a lot...almost all. Transferring to the next point, the food processor. It helps however, those things shoot all over the place. Maybe place an internal storage box or similar design as the fabricator so they drop straight down? As far as bugs, I really didn't see too many. Sure there are some invisible barriers and in hindsight, I wish I would've took notes of where they were. Two were certainly at Dock 12. I did find the bug where I jumped into the water and sank for 2.8km before I realized it was a bug. I also intentionally let the game go and stay loaded at the pause screen to see if it effected gameplay and FPS after a few hours. Ultimately it did but even still, I only crashed 2 times or so, none from normal game play time. Crashes happen, as long as is isn't frequent, I don't mind. All in all, the game up until the last patch was great, I enjoyed every minute. It was only after the last patch did I want to just move on. Graphics are great, plenty to do and discover (both with POIs and secrets), modest amount of boat configuration, etc. At this point, the game for me is about 50/50 like and hate. I am rooting for its improvements and maybe I'll pick it up again if I see some interesting improvements. My recommendations: - User scaling of weather - Enemy respawning (in non user built areas) - Boat extensions or the ability to build different types of boats with excess materials through "found blueprints" throughout the world (similar to the gyro) - Fuel consumption reduction or ability to go all electric with buildable engines - Did I say scaling of the weather? - Maybe fast travel to observation towers (with fuel consumption still happening based on distance) - Expanding play area and more POIs (of course this will happen in time) - POI Information once visited to show loot % remaining. - Scaling of the weather - Increase of items/books for human development.
It's a gorgeous game with interesting ideas, However it's unoptimized, I can run the game at max settings, however my cpu and gpu get HOT, even more since the last update. A lot of quests and achievements don't track properly, usually requiring closing and reopening the game. I don't personally care for the gameplay overall, It's a lot of wait time traveling in between POI's not a whole bunch to do while traveling (especially early on). and once you do get there, there's sometimes combat. the whole thing feels like a big fetch quest. If you get motion sickness from games where you're primarily on a boat, This one isn't too bad, and they've added buildable modules to reduce boat rocking, I have a few and that will let me play for a few hours with minimal discomfort. It's still in EA so expect frequent updates (sometimes breaking more than fixing). I currently don't recommend buying the game because of the issues I mentioned, hopefully the devs get it figured out because it genuinely is a beautiful game.
The controls are clunky and the quests lacks instructions. But it's still early access, there's a lot to improve upon. I really hope they do.
100+ hrs in so far and still finding reasons to love it more.

No automation , absolutelly ZERO. You must run whole game like idiot after resources which you handfeed into scrapper. Disguisting.
