Crim's Humble Opinion Curator
That Doesn't Seem Useful.
Land Of The Seazogs is a science fiction point and click with a four color tone design. The music is pretty fitting and it brings in some pretty staple things known to the genre of point and click style games. As you explore a pretty small location of four floors and some side branching areas you will find items that can be used somewhere else. There's some characters to talk with and some the art in the cut scenes is nice. The inventory is always present so it makes for some pretty quick access.
The Minor Gripes
Perhaps I'm just not that good at point and click exploration games but I could not figure my way through this one. I've heard the experience is about an hour or two but I have found myself at a loss through multiple attempts at the game. Each time I did make it a bit further and sometimes the reasons I was stuck felt so shot in the dark that I wanted to instantly set it back down. 'You were trying to set this sample down an inch above where it was supposed to be set'. I think a hint system could be beneficial or maybe an item description to give better assistance on what you could do with it or what it needs. There is a journal that is supposed to help; but even after reading through it I wasn't exactly sure what my next step was. There seem to be more than a few bumpy areas with the interface as well. The staple interaction of use this with this highlighted thing doesn't exist so it can be hard to tell what you are able to interact with exactly. Sometimes you have to interact with something more than once to get a different interaction type which may also require moving the cursor away from the object and back on. I feel like I encountered bugs with my game and item use but I'm not really sure. I encountered a few bugs such as walking animations not happening or going up elevators that weren't there.

(っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ pros ♥
+Nostalgic four tone colors +Interesting world and characters +Nice fitting music
(っ>▬<)っ x cons x
-Interface issues -Some bugs encountered -Could use a better hint or assistance system
I honestly don't know if I am just missing minor puzzles that kept me from progressing or if my save got bugged and I need to restart. Having no idea where to go next I decided to set this one down. I personally don't think I plan to go back to it. All this being said; it's a low price. I can't recommend it personally with everything I've encountered but if you're itching for a point and click in a science fiction world pick it up sometime.
It's a nice game. It has a classic point & click gameplay, simple but very effective pixel perfect graphics, inmersive music and simple but effective sound effects. It also has some interesting and tricky puzzles. Resolving all puzzles quickly the game lasts about 2 hours.
A fun mini-adventure that hearkens back to the sense of wonder days of Golden Age Science Fiction -- this openhearted simplicity emphasized by references to the nearer days of CGA monitors and soaring, uncluttered synth (interspersed with broad stretches of ambient life support noise, of course). The translation is very effective, and fooled me into thinking that the native language of the game was English -- though there are numerous typos that could be ironed out to give more of a professional gloss to things. There are a few bugs, too, these all showing up toward the end, but nothing game -breaking, mostly just dialog flags resetting when you reload. Generally, I was impressed! Will Professor Meme have further adventures, I wonder?
A very interesting retro style point and click adventure, would recommend always, even more if you feel like kind of nostalgic about those spectrum times, also nice little futuristic story to spend a couple of hours exploring this world.
Despite some technical glitches, I enjoyed this short sci-fi adventure. The cute graphics might make you think it is a light story but it is actually kind of serious and dark in some places. I got stuck a couple of times but nothing seemed too outrageous. There is an issue with scenes resetting if you go back into another area and then return, also an object didn't appear in my inventory until I re-did a scene. Still, I liked the character development and the setting. you have to like retro-graphics obviously, and sci fi. Beyond that some patience with the interface and this story can be quite rewarding. I'm glad I bought this one, a fun evening well-spent.
Pleasant retro adventure for nice afternoon. Story is a bit hurried in the end, it tries to aim high, but has not enough space for it. So it could have been tad longer after all.
Overall was an interesting and fairly short point and click adventure. Playtime was about 2 1/2 hours without a guide. The story is a scifi fantasy mystery where you play as Professor Meme after landing at the base on Zerulia. Your friend Professor Gustav is missing and it becomes your job to find him and discover the mysteries of the strange creatures, the Seazogs. The game is not without it's faults, and some puzzles are not as intuitive as I'd have liked. There were two sections where I became stuck for a while. For the first one, thankfully the base is fairly small so I was ultimately able to exhaust options to stumble on the answer. The second however was thankfully not a game breaking bug, but was a softlock where I was unable to ride an elevator back up in a room. I was able to quit to menu and when I continued, I was back in the starting room with all my inventory, so I was able to progress and ultimately finish the game. I am considering typing up a guide so more people can ultimately finish the game, I feel that because there are times it is not clear on what to do, some people may be discouraged and not want to continue the game. I hit that point previously, when I had originally purchased the game and gave up for a while. Only today I came back to try again and was able to complete it in one sitting, but I was also determined to see the end. Again, I feel it was a neat game and very affordable for the short experience it provides, but it has faults and can be hard to know where to go next.
